From Egmont, for once. Curiously Hachette hasn't announced the book's availability through Snicketmail. Also, AllTheWrongQuestions.com redirects to a section on UE.com, which includes a link to LSL.com.

EgmontUK also tweeted two hours ago, saying they've sold over 50,000 copies so far.

Did anyone else also get a basically empty email titled "Lemony Snicket: Do not fall for these books"?

Did anyone else also get a basically empty email titled "Lemony Snicket: Do not fall for these books"? That would be this. It should also have had a link in it pointing you to somewhere else you could read it if it wouldn't load the images? (Not sure why that would've been a problem, but clearly they knew it was!)

Oh, weird. A moment ago I could see the picture through this forum, but now that's gone too and it says the picture can't be shown because of an error in it. But if I'm the only one I guess it's just a problem with my browser cookies or something and it'll be fine when I restart the browser later on. But thanks, Dante, now I know what the content was.

I have to click a link that says "Downloading images to this e-mail will not answer any questions" before I can see the Snicketmails. So yes, I think it could be a browser/email-service-provider issue.

Maybe... some people's browsers don't like large images? Or it's just HC's image being fishy for some reason. I'll replace the image with a version I've uploaded myself.

Because this has to do with Egmont promotions, and because it doesn't necessarily merit it's own thread, it turns out there was a book giveaway on WCTBATH's release date (which puts a rather ironic twist on "Snicket's back"):

Aye, they mentioned on their Twitter that they were repeatedly heading out to a certain train station (oh, but of course! I only just saw the connection) to give out free copies.

Well that's very generous. And that "Snicket's back" on their back is funny. Thanks for the link, Sherry.

Nice to see Egmont doing promotion with the general public, and also to have the music from the trailer as a separate audio.
