One possible parallel to the sinister thing that comes to power is the horrible thing that comes to life at night from 6/7. Also, this is the sixth e-mail - 7/7 will likely be the last of the stanzas sent out.

One possible parallel to the sinister thing that comes to power is the horrible thing that comes to life at night from 6/7. Maybe that's the reason why I thought I had read that before. The illustration with the balloon and the "hovering over this town" seem to be a good combination, but I think it has nothing to do with each other, it's just to make people think that.

The balloon almost certainly has a connection with Hector's self-sustaining hot air mobile home from TVV. Although your connection is also striking.

The first four lines made also think of the cover illustration of (presumably) Hangfire's silhouette hovering over the town. So it can be applied to a handful of things, incl. simply the general decay of Stain'd or all the sinister happenings. Although the build up of all the stanzas together does indeed indicate somewhat of a revelatory ending, making me really excited for the last one, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

I agree, Terry Craig; there are plenty of assumptions we would like to jump to about what might be in the last stanza and its accompanying illustration, but we must restrain ourselves.
