Have it all planned out. Script, actors, story line, production, all that. And film the movies by 3 like they did before, but make them longer and more detail. Don't make it a Nickelodeon production. I am still really hopeful they decide to re try with live action and do all the books. The film was a box office hit so they should be confident it will do great.

I don't think you can reboot a series if it never became a series. Then it becomes a remake that actually becomes a series. And was the film a box office hit? I thought I heard that it only just made back enough, but these things are always very foggy.
Honestly, at this point I think it's too late. ASoUE is, regrettably, old news at this point; the public isn't really clamouring for a sequel or new movie in the series and it'd be kind of hard to justify publicity-wise, asking the public to go nuts for a remake to an average film from nearly ten years ago which no longer has any kind of momentum as a franchise. I'd always have liked to see a sequel, especially a weird sequel like they were talking about a few years back, with all future movies each being done in a different style. But that ship has sailed.

Perhaps in fifty years' time, when ASOUE is one of the classics of children's literature, and the original film is long forgotten....

I feel a TV Series would work better than a film series. Maybe someting like this.
Books 1-8, Ep 1 - Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 Ep 2 - Chapters 5, 6, 7, 8 Ep 3 - Chapters 9, 10, 11 Ep 4 - Chapters 12, 13
Books 9-13 ; Ep 1 - Chapters 1, 2, 3 Ep 2 - Chapters 4, 5, 6 Ep 3 - Chapters 7, 8, 9 Ep 4 - Chapters 10, 11 Ep 5 - Chapters 12, 13
This would be four, then five epsidoes per series, so ou could do Series 1 - Books 1-5 (20 episodes, ending with the quagmires capture, and VFD's first mention) Series 2 - Books 6-9 (17 episodes, ending with the baudilares rolling of mount fraught) Series 3 - Books 10-13 (21 episodes, with chapter 13 being a single episode)

Thats actually a good idea, a TV series. The plot breaks as well. Nice job Mister M.

It's a shame that a lot of kids' TV has to be such a big-budget big deal these days. I remember some of the low-key children's shows from my childhood and I think ASoUE would be a good fit for that kind of style.

Okay, so maybe one time if we had some sort of 667 meeting we could all film the show together... of course that would never happen but whatever

Isn't that true of anything, though? Well, anything with the remotest hint of locations with specific characteristics or the need for special effects. I would have liked to see a shot at some form of animation, although it'd have to be different enough to Helquist's style that we wouldn't feel the need to make a comparison between them.

Oh wow, those are excellent. Are any of the other animations particularly good? I looked for a Tumblr link, but didn't see one.

Here: theatrociousanimation.tumblr.com/There are a few other animations (A couple actually have sound). Also there's character sketches, scripts and other things related to the project. From what I can gather this artist seems to be mostly developing the look of what an animated movie series would look like. Whether or not she intends to actually make a complete movie is unclear to me, but the things that are made are really impressive.

Ah, yes, I actually know Zelda, the artist, through tumblr. It's here. A reboot of the series is highly unlikely, but I agree an animation would've worked better. The end credits with the animation of the children and Olaf were always something I enjoyed, but I don't think a full movie would've worked in that style.
