Cupid hovered over the 667ers, smiling down upon his good work. He fluttered back to his home on Cloud Nine and hung up his bow. He kicked off his fuzzy slippers and brewed up some hot chocolate milk. He giggled to himself as he watched Teleram and Michelle’s double date with Lucas and Tryina. Love was in the air and spirits were high.
“Hey, you,” said a voice from the corner of the cloud. Cupid turned around to see his eternal rival, Dark Cupid, sneering at him. Hate seeped from every pore, contaminating the air around them.
“What are you doing here?” Cupid demanded. “You belong down on Five. Cloud Nine is a place for love. This is none of your business.”
“Silly, naive Cupid,” DC said, chuckling to himself. “It sickens me to see them down there, professing their love like fools. Someone needs to shake up 667. I need to show them that they really hate each other, underneath it all. This lovey-dovey stuff has gone too far.” He unfurled his skeletal wings and jumped off Cloud Nine.
Cupid watched DC fall down to 667 Dark Avenue with his flaming arrows in hand. He shot one into the heart of Terry Craig, who immediately spat in Pen’s face. He shot another at Linda, causing her to slap Pandora. The forum was in chaos. Cupid grabbed his bow and leaped towards the 667ers. He flew rapidly between the members, undoing the hatred that DC had caused but it wasn’t enough. Cupid knew that there was only one thing he could do to finally stop his enemy.
He flew up to Cloud Five where DC was laughing maniacally. Cupid lifted his bow and aimed it right at his evil counterpart’s chest. DC was abruptly silenced as the arrow pierced his heart. A single tear rolled down Cupid’s cheek.
“I’m sorry,” DC said. “My love, I’m so sorry!” He rushed into Cupid’s arms and kissed him forcefully on the lips. Cupid’s tears grew into sobs as DC embraced him. He had never been so upset. He would now be stuck with DC forever, but at least the 667ers were safe.
The cherubs took each other by the hand and flew back up to Cloud Nine, at peace and in love.
