Mister M: I look forward to reading your interview. Michelle: Love the spoilers to Obstacles! Reverie is such a pretty name, and so is Imogen. I'm looking forward to seeing Jordan's interaction with his niece in your story. By the way, where do the names of your characters originate from? I thought I recognized one or two from books, but you always choose such good ones, so I wanted to ask.

"Reverie" is French and it mean "A dreamy state of mind". "À rêver" means "to dream". Reverie is a unique name, but I don't find it to be too weird or made up. It is also the name of a piano piece by Claude Debussey.
There is an Imogen in the Shakespearean play, "Cymbeline", which I haven't read.

Michelle: Thank you for explaining the meaning behind a few of your characters' names. Coincidentally, I had just come across a mention of Debussey in the Twilight graphic novel I'm currently reading, the same day I read your post. If memory serves me correctly, you don't write Olaf often, but when you do, you certainly deliver! I like the idea of him being a good student, because his attitude in the books makes it seem like he'd be just the opposite. It's a nice reminder on the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" lesson. And yes, he would definitely need braces, but refuse to get them. The middle name you chose for him suits him perfectly, as well. Mister M: I've only read the first chapter of The Rise, but was blown away by how good of a writer you are! The only reason I haven't commented yet is because I want to catch up, so until then, please be assured that I am enjoying it. Not entirely sure if your Dante is a fictionalized version of our beloved Snicketologist, but perhaps he is, since Bee is also mentioned. Anyway, your Dante is certainly a mysterious character, which is what makes him so intriguing. I feel bad for him, though, knowing that he's dealt with so much tragedy in his long, long life.

I remember Elizabeth and her lovely family. It's beautiful the way she mentions her late son as she talks of her other children. She's so sweet, and thoughtful, which makes her very much Jerome's sister. ^^ I also like that her middle name is Sakura; it reminds of the anime/manga series, Cardcaptor Sakura.

By questions 10+11, I guess you don't like food :/ No, Elizabeth is married to a Jewish guy and Yom Kippur is the day for asking for forgiveness of sins. Passover is rougher for her. Many of the foods she eats as a vegan are off limits. @emma Elizabeth had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. She went in for her 12 week appointment. Her doctor couldn't find the heartbeat and Timothy was measuring at 9 weeks. Timothy was inside her body, so Elizabeth had a procedure to get him out. The doctors sent the results to pathology and that's where they found out that Timothy is a boy.

Yom Kippur is a fast day I know. It's only 25 hours, though. Elizabeth has been doing it every year since she's been married, so it's not too much a big deal for her. She spends most of the day sleeping and praying.

Yom Kippur sucks a whole lot more than Elizabeth apparently realizes.

1. Name? Theodora "Thea" Mary Alice Springer
2. Date of birth and age? May 8, 2002. I am 11 years old.
3. Any piercings/tattoos/other body modifications? I just have my ears pierced once. My mom said I can get my second ear piercings when I turn 13.
4. Do you have a significant other? I have a boyfriend named Avi Goldman. But my parents don't validate our relationship because he's 13 and I'm 11.
5. Do you have children? If not, do you want them in the future? I'm only 11. Of course not. I do want kids in the future, though.
6. What were your grades like in primary and secondary school? I'm in 6th grade, so I'm in middle school. I've never gotten anything below an A-. Our parents will ground us if we get anything below a B.
7. Did you do post-secondary education? If so where and what degree do you have? Not yet. I'm too young for college. I want to go to Northwestern when I'm older.
8. Where is your hometown? Where else have you lived? Where do live now? I was born in New Orleans, but I've also lived in Radford, San Antonio, and Huntsville. Now, I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. 9. What is the worst physical pain you've felt? Period cramps. I just started getting my period in June and I get cramps. I can't go to school unless if I take ibuprofen before I go.
10. What is your favorite holiday? We celebrate Christmas and Chanukah in my house, having a mother who was raised Baptist and a father who is Jewish and raising us Jewish. My mom likes Yom Kippur, which is weird. She struggles with Passover even more, since most of the foods she eats normally as a vegan, she can't eat during passover. So, her only options are fruit, vegetables, nuts, matzah, and mushrooms. My dad, my brother, my sister, and I aren't vegan, but we're vegetarian, so we were allowed to have eggs and dairy.
11. What is your least favorite food? Meat, fish, and shellfish. I've been vegetarian since conception.
12. Describe the happiest day in your life. The birth of my baby sister Sarah.
13. Do you play any instruments? If so, what? I play piano, clarinet, and oboe.
14. Hair color/eye color? Brown hair and green eyes.
15. Have you ever had braces? I have them right now. They suck big time. But I'm getting them off right after I turn 13. I'm an oboist, so it took a while to adjust when I first got them on.
