My first reaction was 'no' but I'm glad that they have actually cast a Lemony and that he will be some kind of prominent figure in the show, rather than almost non-existent.

My first reaction was 'no' Admittedly, that was rather my instinctive reaction as well - but you know, throw a fedora and a trenchcoat on him, world-weary mid-twentieth-century private eye sort of look, I think it could work. |

Very true, and yet there may be opportunities for out-of-focus shots, silhouettes, the TPP taxi driver... and the TWW taxi driver, come to think of it.

Hmm, after the movie went with a sort of prettyboy-Lemony Snicket, Netflix is now going with a manly man type. I wish they'd have gone for something in between, but I guess the most important aspect of LS's portrayal will be his voice. Warburton seems to have a kinda Alec Baldwin voice, and the latter narrated The Royal Tenenbaums rather well, so this could work. Here's one of a series of commercials Warburton did, that might be an indicator to how his Lemony Snicket will be. |

I actually really like the casting so far. It's strange, but at the same time they all fit pretty well. Patrick Warburton does sort of remind me of Lemony Snicket as he appears in the illustrations.

Daniel Handler will always be Lemony Snicket to me, I wish they could cast him.

Yes yes yes his voice is perfect for Lemony, and I can already imagine all the scenes where we can only see a glimpse of him <3 I'm so excited about this!
