I finally got to read TBL and TUA, but based on some discussions on this forum it seems like I'm still missing something.... Is there more?

Well, strictly related to ASOUE no. You have the prequel, "All the wrong questions", where you have some extra details and cameos but nothing too crazy.

Yes, you'd have to clarify exactly what you think you should know more about. Was there anything in particular which confused you?

Oh I don't remember most of it, but the Female Finnish Pirates come to mind...I don't remember reading about them at all...

The Female Finnish Pirates are mentioned in TBB (and one other book, I think) as figures from the past, but the evidence that they still exist comes from Bad Beginning: the Rare Edition (BBRE). Although that edition is indeed rare, the notes from it are also included in the recent paperback edition of TBB, and can also be found at 667 in Dastardly Documents.

I also wish they'd made an appearance.
