I'd also noticed these listings, but until we can set eyes on the covers they will remain unilluminating. I thought I had seen editions of ASoUE somewhere with "Now a major Netflix series!" stickers on them, but it's possible that that was in the U.K.
The movie wasn't all bad for tie-in material. The Puzzling Puzzles was later promoted to canon status with a non-movie edition, and the below-dustjacket hardcover for The Ominous Omnibus featured an excellent illustration which was later used for The Notorious Notations. I'm not crossing my fingers for a repeat of those, though; I'm assuming these will be at most standard editions with Netflix photos on the cover. But they might at least look attractive.

Yeah, all the copies of 1-4 I see in stores have that Netflix sticker on it (I live in America). I'm assuming these new editions will be more than that. I'm sort of hoping with the success of season 1 we start to see some actual merchandising. I'd take anything at this point, even Pop Vinyl figures (but I'd prefer Lego). The movie's tie-in merchandise was just so underwhelming. My main problem with the movie tie-in books was the terrible dust jackets, TRR and TWW were lazy cover choices and TBB had that horrible Sunny photoshopping. Even worse, it was a very cheap material used and so most of the copies in the store had huge rips all over them. The Ominus Omnibus was the only one I bought and I had to search through a pile of them to find the only one that didn't have a rip on the dust jacket. Then of course it ripped almost instantly. Out of the many dust jackets I've had over the years this is the only one I've ever had rip that badly. Then the spine of it cracked one day, I was very sad about that.

I can attest that at least one bookstore in Denmark is selling (UK) paperbacks of the whole series with Netflix stickers on them. I'm also interested in what they might do with these tie-in editions. There's always a little hope that they'll contain something new and interesting.
