Fernald (The Hook Handed Man)
* He is 16 years older than his sister Fiona, in TGG he is in his mid 30's.
* Fernald's hands were chopped off by VFD for "his crimes". Olaf was the one who gave him the hooks.
* Suffers from insomnia as an adult, drinks a ton of coffee. With the occasional swig of alcohol.
* Years after the events of TGG, him and the Baudelaires are on good terms.
Orlando (The Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender)
* Born transgender, Orlando was disowned by his parents.
* He joined VFD as a young adult. But quit following the later years of the schism and joined Count Olaf.
* The main reason for wanting to help Olaf obtain the Baudelaire fortune, was because he would use his share of the money to afford a sex change.
Charlotte and Emily (The White Faced Woman)
* Originally triplets Charlotte, Emily and Anne, Anne was killed in a fire as a child.
* Their short names are Char and Em.
* After the events of TSS, the two visited their sister and parent's graves. They later reunited with the Baudelaires and Fernald.
Luzhin (The Bald Man with The Large Nose)
* He was born in St Petersburg, Russia (before the Russian Revolution). His family immigrated to America.
* Like the others he was a volunteer, until he decided to go work for Count Olaf.
* Luzhin has a secret attraction towards Violet throughout the series.

As with my OCs, I have so many headcanons I can't remember them all without looking at my notes. As I'm literally in the middle of watching The Miserable Mill right now, I can say that "my" Charles is part of the Snicket family tree. He is the younger cousin of Lemony, Kit and Jacques. If memory serves me, he's the son of their father's sister.

Charles: He is Esme's brother. His surname/her maiden name is Love. (You may be able to guess the source for this.)
The Duchess: Was in love with Beatrice, This is why she gave Lemony the ring (knowing she would never have children, and that Lemony would give it to B).
Hal: Survived the fire, and took over the running of the underwater library. It is he who was making a horrible curry for L as he worked on TPP. (I think this may possibly have been intended, but no one agrees with me.)
Fernald and Fiona: Have a lost sister, called Flora, who took the photograph. (You may be able to guess the source for this one as well.) Possibly she left to become a Female Finnish Pirate. (Friday is not their sister.)
There is an old headcanon thread, in which you may find many more.

Charles: Is Esme's brother. His last name/her maiden name is Salinger.
Village of Fowl Devotees residents: Most of them are a mix of European, African, and Native American descent. They did not have the miscegenation laws the rest of America used to have. Over the years, exiles from Amish communities joined them. Japanese and German immigrants moved there during World War II to escape internment camps and deportation. They never found out whether or not the war ended, because they don't follow outside news.
Sunny: Is a lesbian.
Duchess R: Is a lesbian and was in love with Beatrice. The Winnipeg kid in the Snow Scouts is her nephew. It was hinted there were no women in line after her because she is "The Last Duchess."
Person of Indeterminate Gender: Is intersex, genderqueer, and asexual.
Olaf: Has a couple of illegitimate kids, one of them being a son Esme gave birth to after he died.

Bertrand: An excellent detective, master of disguise. He is able to deduce what people are thinking and set traps to catch criminals. He has always been considered one of the best young VFD detectives, being equated with Jacques Snicket himself. He married out of a sense of obligation to the organization, but in the end he truly fell in love with Beatrice. He developed a deep and difficult to describe passion. He loved Beatrice's hands than his children, but he was still an excellent father. After the wedding, he had to spend a lot of his time maintaining the mansion, the library and the fortune (these things actually belonged to the VFD. But since VFD is a secret organization, they need to place the assets under the protection of individuals known to be reliable.)

I'm flirting with the idea of having Bertrand be Esme's first husband. Daniel Handler hinted in an interview that Esme was married to someone else before Jerome.

Violeta - It is not exactly asoue, but atwq ... (File Under 13) I believe that she was Beertand's first love, and that is why he chose the name "Violet" for his first daughter.

Are you me? I believe both that Charles was Esme's brother, and that Hal took over the hidden library - and I think the latter is quite possibly DH's intention, witness the 'terrible curry' clue.
