What is going on here? I see a;; of this ASoUE suff coming out like binders and new-fangled books but ... no plushies? Will ASoUE ever get plushies? Is this even in the right section? The binder is old news...it's not even available anymore. someone just pushed the topic to the top. Come November, the stores will be overrun with merchandise. Be careful what you wish for...not that I'm holding my breath that we'll be seeing plushies. Anything's possible I suppose.

Like, I'd LOVE a VFD crow plushie to call my own...aww..... I would love that too! And a cuddly Incredibly Deadly Viper, and maybe little rubber Lachrymose Leeches.

To be frank, plush dolls of anything other than the animals would be... strange.

LUCAFONT PLUSH. NOW.
I'd totally make one if I knew how. He'd have little metal hooks.

I've tried making plushies so many times, and failed. So they better get some so I don't have to slave over a hot needle and thread, anymore.

From someone who has quite a few hide(Japanese guitarist & singer) plushies. People plushies are fun! Japanese consumers (as well as Westerners obsessed by Asian culture) have considerably different ideas about what they want to see in regards to merchandise. While I can completely see some Japanese-only plushies being manufactured, akin to the wealth of Nightmare Before Xmas merch that was available well before the resurgence in the US, I just don't see Nickelodeon jumping on it, unless like Cartoon Network they've also realized that catering to otakus is big money. When this film hits in Japan, I expect to see a flood of very compelling merchandise that will probably blow the crap out of the US attempts, just like Nightmare Before Xmas.

They've already announced the plushies.
Emily Browning even said herself.
I'm more excited to get my hands on an Olaf action figure. Like a Barbie-sized Olaf. I would love that.

No, she mentioned "dolls" and she didn't say that they would definitely make them. Look at the quote again. YOU posted it after all... "Oh yes! I haven't actually seen any [of the dolls] yet, but I'm pretty sure they're going to do it."Regardless, "dolls" could mean anything from action figures, to Barbie-style dolls, to yes, even plushies. Anything is possible, but that's just too little to go on to make any specific conclusions yet, and that's NOT an official announcement.

...Okay, it may not be an official statement, but use some logic here. Hmmm... Paramount... big-budget children's flick... What else do children like besides a goofy Jim Carrey and a dark, yet delicious storyline? Ah, yes! Toys they can play with, trade with their friends, dress up, or even cuddle with. It's all about the dough. If they're going to make Snicket as big as Harry Potter, which Paramount is aiming for, they will have dolls or plushies of some sort.

*twitches* I'm not incredibly happy about ANY merchandise, and plushies, in my opinion, are just going to the lowest point possible. Although that Olaf DOES sound quite intruiging, I'm not sure I want to see it on the shelves...

A plush toy, like a beanie baby but firmer. An example would be a small teddy bear. Anyone who knows better than I do is welcome to explain better.
