My plans are set now. I'm not going to the midnight movie, but I already bought tickets to go that first Saturday, the 14th.
I pre-ordered my book at Border's, so I'm set there too. My two older kids and I are all going in costume.

I'm not going at midnight to the movie, but I'm going on that Wednesday, when it comes out. I dunno what time, though.
I'll get my book on the 5th of August when I return from my lovely vacation, and then I'll read it. How exciting.

Of course I'll post some pictures! (Right after I finish reading the book.)

Are you making your costumes?

My son has his costume from two years ago. I'm making my daughter's costume. My mother is going to sew my costume for me. I'm going to her house tomorrow and I'm so excited. I hope it turns out like I want.

Indeed. I should probably look about for a costume now if I want one. Are there any decent stores people use for HP costumes?

Do you have an idea of who/what you want to dress up as?

Indeed. I should probably look about for a costume now if I want one. Are there any decent stores people use for HP costumes? I believe Halloween stores would have costumes, if there are any of them around. I don't know where you live, but IParty or whatever that stop is would probably have them.

This time of year you probably will have to order online unless you can find a costume store locally, or have someone sew for you.
Do you know anyone who's graduated lately and still has their black robe? That could work.

Yeah. Since Halloween is still four months away. But you never know--Christmas decorations are beginning to come out now.

The Harry Potter robe and wand and the witch hat that I have I all bought after Halloween at deep discount. But there are costume shops that operate year-round.
Otherwise, you might have to get creative and make your own stuff. You could dress all in white with white hair and makeup and go as a ghost. Dress in odd combinations of clothes and say that you're a wizard disguised as a muggle.

That's a good idea! The "dress in an odd combination" thing. They're all good, but that's a cool one.

Of course, not as cool as being the Golden Snitch, but I already took that one.

That's really cool!
The greatest thing I've ever been was Hermione... lame... I looked more like Emma Watson than anything. Not Hermione.
