I'm hoping that Louis Hynes has really grown as an actor since last season. I love the series but the acting was wooden quite few times throughout the first season from both Malina and Louis, with louis being the biggest offender in my opinion. My fingers are crossed that they received some tough love and where pushed to really deliver in their performance.

I love Lemony's role in the Netflix series and I frankly never understood the issue with his face. In the book series we are often taken out of the story and placed into random scenarios that Lemony is presently engaged in, nothing in those prose indicated that his face was hidden from us leaving us as the reader to imagine him head to toe doing whatever it is he was doing. I don't see any other way the show could bring those idiosyncratic moments to life without showing his face as well, especially for the emotional scenes where emoting is required to really deliver the emotional payload. I think it's a bit to literal to assume that the show has abandoned Lemony's mystics, I've always felt, even when reading the series, that we the audience or reader were distinctly different than the world Lemony lived in giving us permission to be privy of his whereabouts and his identity.

Sorry, I simply don't agree.
I'm not convinced that the hallway is green screen, though it could be, but even if it is I don't believe that would preclude that props and other sets were not being and had been created for the next season.
Season 1 finished filming in august if I recall correctly. Next season began filming in April of 2017. The sets would have had to begin being built prior to filming given how tight the filming schedule is, only one allotted month for each book.
The logistics going in to creating a set and their props I would imagine need a substantial amount of time to not only establish a blue print and organize an employee staff sheet for all the many disciplines involved in set creation, but then also create it. Considering that filming jumps from one set to the next every month more than one set had to be created by April 2017.
I find it hard to believe that the sets where not ready by then and it find hard to believe that each set would not require at least 2 - 3 months if not more time to be created. Meaning well before 2017 season 2 sets, at the very least 2 book sets complete with 3 and 4 almost completed, were prepared with their props for filming.

Watching it now. Definitely is a set not a green screen. Considering the logistics the sets would have began being made very early so that filming could start by April 2017.
Sorry not to gang up on you or anything, but I agree with the other two.

A recurring character is defined as such - "A recurring character is a fictional character, usually in a prime time TV series, who often and frequently appears from time to time during the series' run. Recurring characters often play major roles in more than one episode, sometimes being the main focus." - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recurring_characterSo it's definitely not simply a character that reoccurs but a character that holds some significance to the plot or a sub-plot.

Can't see what's changed except for Louis used to straighten his hair?? He still does the first one was taken after make up. He's shown videos of himself getting his hair straightened for season 2.

let's hope that carmelita doesn't out act the stars of the show, but her delivery in those insta's is impeccable. Definitely not wooden acting

Well if it is march 30 then we should get a trailer this month since it would follow precedent set by last seasons promotion schedule.

We got our first teaser for season one Oct. 4 2016 - 4 months prior to it's premier. I think most of us are convinced we are getting a April premier for season 2 which suggests that our first trailer will be in January. If we are lucky maybe Christmas.

Not specifically. It just says he looks forward to what the next year has in store. Well to me, in my opinion, that suggest that filming will start next year, likely January. It wouldn't surprise me - I'm sure they are looking forward to a break. Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up as well. I'm sure the actors want to spend Holidays with their families. At this point the kids aren't going to get much bigger. Two Months down time shouldn't be a problem. Either way, excited for what is to come.

I think we can all confidently expect, without any evidence, that we will have some sort of teaser or trailer by the end of December. So if you are like me and want a date to actively look towards you can mark December 31st as the day that a trailer will have happened on or before.
Or at least that is what I am doing because it helps me get through these cold nights.
