Hey everybody! Anybody else on here have a snow day today? The midwest is getting a horrid snowstorm right now, we just closed about half an hour ago. Snow days at college, wonderful... This is the first time the University has closed for weather in over four years, so this is unexpected for me. Some schools closed last night before the storm hit. I had to go to one class before this lot finally decided to close classes. It is a whiteout blizzard, so I was happy. I don't work tonight, either.

You guys are lucky. School never closes where I live, no matter how much it snows. We got about three inches last night, though.

I live in Wisconsin and that storm is headed this way. But right now it's sunny and in the 50's. I can keep my fingers crossed, though!

Snow days rock, and we get a few here on the East coast.
I'm off of skool today, though, because of this damn pinkeye.

Yay! There's snow here, but I've never had a snow day. I think we're predicted one, because these people from student services told us what to do if it snows, and we're not sure whether to come to school or not.

We occasionally get snow days. Sometimes we'll only get 2-hour delays. We haven't had one yet, but I'm expecting one soon.

Sometimes the buses get cancelled, but schools aren't closed very often, even though we get lots of snow here.

Not the whole midwest, Lbeall. Otherwise I'd be off and its not snowing here nearly enough to be off yet. I'm hopeful but its stopped snowing for now.

This weekend the weather was in the 20s and my pond was frozen and everything was frosted, but today it was in the 60s, but it was drizzly for a little while.

It doesn't snow here in Western Australia either....Last year I saw snow for the first time on a holiday in New Zealand...I decided to start a snowball fight with my sister but I never realised snow was so cold to touch

It snowed a few inches where I live. That was Saturday night and Sunday morning. But now it's melting... Edit: It does snow here, but not all that often. Usually it just passes over us and then dumps all the snow on the mountains. But it's good for the businesses who make money off the tourists who come to ski. And I've never had school close due to snow, possibly because the most I've ever seen here was a 1 ft. high.

We had a snow day once last year, but it was called in the middle of the day, which was extremely stupid. But I sort of glad, because I would have had to walk downtown to the bus stop after school in snow as high as my waist. There's about a foot of snow on my lawn presently, and lots more up at Sun Peaks (the ski resort in my city), but it's good for business.
