On the fifth day of Christmas, Snicket gave to me, five secret words
The world is quiet here.
Ring! Code? No, surely just an alarm clock. Oh what a day it's been already, my alarm clock won't stop ringing!

Why, that sounds terrible, Dupin! I didn't realize this was a sad occasion... The world is quiet here. Well, young lady, have you been good to your mother?

I think the question is, has she been good to me? That is, if you are who I think you are. Are you? Are you who I think you are?

Ring! Don't be afraid; it's only a bell. I shouldn't let you worry. Fetch me a cold towel. It will help you relax. I'll calm you down slowly and it will be better. The help I am giving to you is helpful for you. What you should do is ring the bell and overcome your fear.

Farmer Johanson's pet pidgeons do not have any wings.
A spanish nocturnal rat has just jumped out the car window.
What is the sun, please?

I don't get this thread.
Pidgeons are spelled with a silent 'r', dummy.
What exactly is this rat carrying?
Please is the exact word I was looking for. You're free to go.
