I wonder how many strings he had to pull to be nominated..."Protecting world peace"? HA!
The Pope should win. Go John Paul.

No. Just no. That's wonderful, I don't see how invading Iraq promotes peace but sure. Give it to the pope, he's a good guy and he should get points for the hat.

None of thoese people deserve any awards. Nobel PEACE Prize. Com'on. I say if John Lennon, Bob Marley, and Ghandi didn't get an award like that, no one does. Especially not The "President"

Before you are so quick to criticize Dubya... I'm in Iraq right now, and belive me, it's not peaceful. I'm not sure these people want us here. We visit a local school every week and bring the kids boxes of crayons and coloring books and toys and toiletries. We as soldiers are really trying to make things better over here. It's hard to make progress when the progress is sneered at. I came here all fired up and wanting to make a difference. Then I realized that these people don't want us. They don't want us, but they want a change. The kids don't wear shoes, and when they do,the shoes are made of plastic. PLASTIC. Belive it or not, it gets really cold here and these people don't have warm clothes... and they live in mud huts. Mud, people. I'm on an airfield that these people were never allowed on. When I got here there were hundreds of pallets of wood laying around. Not being used. Laying there. These Iraqis weren't allowed any of this wood. Weren't allowed near it. There is a lake here... it was Saddams private lake. People were not alowed to swim in it, fish in it. When we bombed this airfield, the civilain Iraqis came in here and salvaged scrap metal, wood, tires, anything they could lay their hands on. My section builds things and one day I had an Iraqi man ask if he could take some bent nails home. He was going to pound them straight. These people have nothing. Despite seeing all this, I can't say it's our place to be here. Since when is America's job to police up the world? We can't even keep our own country straight. Nothing has ever torn me in half like this. I'm tired of hearing rockets whizz overhead at 9 p.m. and throwing my IBA on and running out to get accountability. I'm tired of having Arabs leer at me. I'd love to put Dubya in full battle rattle and set him out here for six months. If he lasted that long. I don't think he should get a prize for this. That's bull. But I do know that in some way we've helped these people. They need help. They just don't want us.

That's what people in UNICEF do. They're not getting a Nobel Peace Prize. I'm not saying that what you're doing isn't good, but I am saying why you're there is not good at all. Weapons of mass distruction my foot. Lies.......
