Another group of people who exhibit laissez-faire qualities are the freaks, Kevin, Collette and Hugo. They don't want to argue with those in charge, don't seem to have any hope that they could go out in the world and liver normal lives and they don't help the Baudelaires very much (ie: fraternizing with the enemy)

Hugo, Kevin and Collette do not wish to be hit with the large noodle. They also would prefer not to be thrown to the lions, but I don't remember any definite arguing not to be eaten.
