Well we know Klaus and Sunny live, because Lemony mentions several times that many years later they would still be tossing and turning in bed, wondering if they did the right thing. Never a mention of Violet. It doesn't look good for her. that was actually Violet and Klaus about the regretting thing. (said in TRR)

An idea just came across me. Here it is, layed out here:
Everything seems to be perfect for the Baudelaires, they've been told that Count Olaf has been caught, and everythings so happy, when right at Chapter 13 in the 13th book, everything goes downhill. Something like, "And I'm sorry to say, but that hot air balloon the Baudelaires saw in the sky was hit by a lightning bolt that came minutes later, and to this day I can't find its remains." would be perfect. But somehow the "Count Olaf finds their fortune and lives happily after" doesn't seem to satisfy me either.
So basically "getting happy then suddenly finishing off really bad" is my theory".
Looks like a format, eh?

That is the big challenge for the series. How do you end it so that everyone's happy about it not being a happy ending?

Oh, and by the way, what the Devon Sawa thing was about was in another post, someone said they thought that Violet was going to die, and I said that I didn't want her to, but if she did, I could always bring her back as a ghost in a Harry Potter- a series of Unfortunate events crossover fanfic that I'm planning on writhing soon, and that It would be done "Casper" style (although I meant she would be like Kat's mom, and help Sunny and Chloe(Chloe is Harry and Hermione's daughter), but someone thought I meant theat she would be like Casper, and asked if she would help Harry defeat Voldemort, and then turn into Devon Sawa, and dance with him at the yule ball, and I thought that was funny ;D.

Another thing is unlike most series, there are just so many ways ASOUE could end! it would be almost impossible to list them!
