As I was flipping through the HH, I noticed in the picture where the filing cabinets are falling around Violet, that her dress/coat doesn't have any buttons.
Likewise, on the covers with Klaus, the colors of his bowties are different. Usually they are red, but they vary to blue/green in the cover of TWW.
Tell me what you think.

The one in TWW could be because it's darker outside and there isn't alot of light in the room, but you bring up a good point
Another thing I noticed was at the end of THH, Violet is still in her hospital gown. It say she's still wearing it in TCC (I forget the page number though, it's when there revealing their true identities to Olivia.) Yet in the beginning of TSS, it shows Violet in her dress.

I noticed that to. Also in the beginning of TSS, Klaus and Violet are still in their Beverly-and-Elliot disguise, not in their clothes, and Violet is wearing the wrong thing anyway.

That got me really annoyed. You wouldn't think Snicket would make a mistake like that.

But Snicket could tell Helquist to change it.

Something else I noticed: Sunny and Violet's hair ribbons change color all the time.
Also: We can safely assume that Sunny has grown since TBB. Yet she always appears in the same white nightgown-thing. Wouldn't that be several sizes too small by now? Or at least dirty?

Also, isnt it strange that sunny still has only one strand of hair?

that is strange. as babies usually would've started to grow hair by then.

Mmm, but neither Helquist or Snicket do the cover illustrations.

Why wouldn't Helquist do the cover illustrations? It's his name on the cover. Alison Donalty designs the cover, but she doesn't illustrate the picture. She designs the border around the picture and the layout, etc.
