now, in TSS Lemony says something about people burning down Libraies not mansions so I think the bad side of the schism (Count Olaf side) wants to burn the libraies not the mainsions BEACAUSE.....(Drum Roll) Beacause all of the places I'm about to mention have (almost definitely) the snicket file in the libraries
Places with file: Hemlich hospital (Torched)
Uncle montrys house (torched)
Baud mansion (torched)
Quag mansion (Torched)
Headqaurters (Torched)
but thre are 2 copies of the snicket file left,Olaf has one (The WWNBBH & the MWNHBAB took it from the headquaters before they burned it) and one that was removed from hemlich hospeial( Which we don't whre that copy is)
Any good?

I don't know about the 2-Snicket-file theory...the Bauds only have page 13. In TSS, the man/woman say they have "the other 12 pages" or something to that effect. In short: The Bauds have part of the Snicket file, and so do the man/woman with beard/hair.

Swans, you said wouldn't the Bauds see the smoke, but if they were too far away, it might look like the crows to them, but it could still be the smoke... hmmm... |

i don't think the town of VFD ever was burned, but the secret library might have been. Y'know, excited crowds with torches find an illegal library. They could have burned it, but snicket didn't think it was worth noting. maybe.

The town of VFD wasn't burned down. what I think...Oh wait I just relised why never mind. Bu then again it wouldn't be very hard to make another copy of the snicket file. But whats the basis of that theory?

I always thought that there would only be one copy of the Snicket File. If there was two, then Olaf could just get page 13 or the entire other copy off some one else. Or the Baudelaires could do the same thing. If there was two copies then there must be two copies of the photo of the Baud. parents and Jacques, Lemony.
* I note in a time of credit cards and advanced computers that photocopiers have most likely been invented, too.

Three is 2 copies of gthe file there are lots
One in Hemlich hospital (Which we have no idea where is)

headquarters:burned
the woman and man took the ile out of the headquater libraire then gave it to olaf
I think all VFDer on the good side have a copy of the file
to put olaf in jail when they have the chance but olaf is torching all the copies except one for himself so no good vfd ers will ever suceed

But thu headqaurter copie maybe had like every thing and the other place have just little bits of the file say one page

I agree Monty may have had one, but why would the Baud's and the Quag's have a copy? its the SNICKET file, not Baudelaire file or Quagmire file.

I think there is one copy.
Olaf thought it could be in:
Heimlich Hospital
Bauds mansion
Quags mansion
Monty's house
Headquarters.
He thought it could be in any of those places, so he burned them all down.
