No one better have posted about his or I'll feel dumb... Anyway, what annoys u about his style? Always defining words u don't need defined? Putting a weird stroy in the beginning of a chapter when ur hanging in suspense? Do u get tired of him moaning of Beatrice and wish u could tell him to get over it? Or do u tire of reading the same warnings all the time? vote and post!

Of course I enjoy the series or I wouldn't be on thils list. But there are certain things I find that irk me, and this is kind of a guilty pleasure where u can express ur irritation.

Nothing about this series is annoying!I can't believe you people! 1.The definitions: Some people don't know what words mean, and the definitions add humour. 2.The odd stories: They're hilarious!Especially the Queen Debbie one in TCC.They also, add humour. 3.Moaning about Beatrice: That was his true love!Who was murdered!I don't consider it "moaning" about her. He's really giving us info by weeping about her. 4.Telling us not to: Makes us want to!Once again, it adds humour! Startin' to see a pattern here, anyone?

I love Snickets writing. I have wrote some fanfic, and its hard to write like him it requires me to think alot while writing (something I am not good at thinking) so I stopped, I still have the mental stretch marks.

What annoys me is:
It is Uncle Monty who will die, but not yet.
Telling us that he was going to die really early was annoying for me. He did it with Josephine as well.

That annoyed me too! He just gave away the plot, there!
The only other thing that annoys me is when people say "Lemony Snicket writes the wierdest things" because they don't understand or don't have the sense of humor that makes everything funny ("Don't interrupt" the Man interrupted" "It's not nice to comment on other people's looks" said the Hook handed man "Now...look at Hugo and the large hump on his back!...")
Otherwise, I completely love all the Snicketisms and writing techniques, etc.

Nothing listed annoyed me. What annoys me is how stupid the adults always are. Sometimes I get so pissed off I start screaming and throwing things around... and several of my books have bite marks on them. This is embarressing to admit.

Well if I put things up there like: him making things vague and mysterious or him making the adults so dumb, everyone would have voted for them cause they're major parts of the plot. I tried putting things up that weren't essential to the plot. Being mysterious, or putting the kids in bad spots are both essential to the basic plot.

What annoys me is: It is Uncle Monty who will die, but not yet. Telling us that he was going to die really early was annoying for me. He did it with Josephine as well. It's supposed to be revealing! Any other author would have slapped you in the back of the head with it, but Snicket, being Snicket, had to differ from other authors, otherwise, some of his oddness would have slipped away. P.S. Uncle Monty dying was not the plot! The whole Peru thing was basically the plot!

Yes, but I don't want to know someone's going to die in the third chapter.
