On page 101(?) of 'The Ersazt Elevator':
'And they heard the voice of a man say, 'I'm taking a shower, Mother!'
I take this as a reference to 'Psycho', by the master Hitchcock. Does it make sense to you all?

it might be hitchcock seems right up handlers alley is there any reference to "the birds" inTVV

Aye, probably. I haven't seen (or read? I think it's a book as well, but I might be thinking of something else) Psycho, but I think there was a Marie Antoinette reference on another floor ("Let them eat cake!").
