I read the second book today! I'm cruising along. So now I've read the first, second, and sixth books.
I love the writing of these books. Handler is obviously insane. And a genius. I love the random things thrown in like "but there was no ranch involved, not even a few cows or a rural area, or even ranch dressing, which is creamy and put on salad". (or something to that effect).
This particular book was very fabulous, I loved Uncle Monty, pity he kicked it. I liked the Viper as well.
The whole series is very mysterious, but the thing I'm most anxious to find out about is Lemony Snicket himself and what's going down with this Beatrice person he likes so much.

Anyway, the reptile room was sad--when monty died, that is. Aren't the books sort of happily-written? I don't know how to describe it.

Of course you can call me Pip. Why would mods or anti-newbie people be after me? Because I didn't post this in the books 1-3 forum? I thought about that, but then I kind of decided that this post was more "all around thumbs up" for the books I've read so far than it is whoot4book2.

I mean that there are some people here (saying no names) Who will laugh out loud at the fact that some new person is critiquing trr when they have read all the books 10 times each since the debut of tbb. And these anti newbie people will attempt to make fun and/or intimidate pip. I'm just giving him fair warning before one of these people shows up...

Stick to the topic, people, or I will lock this.
The topic is discussing Pip's Reptile Room review and giving your own opinions on Book the Second, in case you were wondering.

Hmm I liked the second book, though it wasn't the greatest. It's kinda an inbetween one... If you know what I mean. Meh. And btw, if you want to answer my above question, PM me, so FFWF won't get cranky.

The book wasn't the best one, but I still prefer it over TWW.

Out of the first three in the series, TRR is my favourite, cos i got really emotional when monty died.

You must be really new to reading the series, omg: how long did it take you to realize the books were mysterious?? I kinda figured that out about 4 years ago...
