In reply to the question of where the Baudelaire's lives takes place... we can eliminate South America, because in TWW they were going to sail to Peru. Also we can eliminate Africa, because in one of the books (cant remember which) Klaus asks something like "we have to go to AFRICA?" Antarctica is eliminated (if you don't know why, may God help you). So it leaves us with either Australia, North America, Asia, or Europe.... (any evidence to prove one of these wrong is welcome) Quite correct, but the wrong thread for it, really. There's plenty of threads which discuss the setting of the series in Perilous Places (in which we've whittled the list down to Australia only). |

So what time and country were the baudelaires home to? Im sorry this theory/collection of thoughts is very tacky its the very first go ive had at this, i have probably missed a lot because im very distracted at the moment but i hope ive touched on soem important topics. I was judging what this thread was about from the title and from the previous two posts. My fault. My only defence is that I'm very tired and very lazy. But then, aside from the fact that this thread relies heavily on evidence from TRR, the question does belong in Perilous Places. So I suggest that anything referring specifically to technology and locations in TRR as stated by ecc02 go here, but more general statements go in one of the threads in Perilous Places. Edit: Wait, no, I actually read the thread this time. I was right to begin with. As I stated earlier, questions on time and place go in Perilous Places. The questions on Monty's attitude and the lamp, etc., go here. |
