Hey everybody,
I'm new here, so hello.
Does anybody know how "rare" the Rare Version of TBB is? Because I've checked on Ebay and Amazon and neither of them have it.

It is both "slightly harder to find" and "not burnt to a crisp"...
Seriously, I'm not sure, but it's well worth it if you can get hold of it. Try Barnes and Noble.

I actually own it, I got it at a Borders( there was only one left, go figure), I was just wondering if anybody knew any more about it. For example, if there is only a certain number of them.

I don't know. But don't sell yours; it's got a cool cover and you may want to check those crucial notes from time to time...

The Rare Edition contains the Marvelous Marriage portrait, featuring the Baudelaires, Olaf, and the troupe, and has notes in the back that provide clues to various aspects of the series' mysteries. And the cover is lovely.

The cover is indeed lovely.
I don't know how rare it is, but if you live in Britain, it's so rare that you have to order it from abroad.

Yup. The wheel, the Romans, democracy...(that still hasn't reached our shores, not that I mind-I'm a monarchist anyway, but I'd rather the monarch was Queen Elizabeth II than Tony Blair...)

It's not that we get the BBRE later - it's that we don't get it at all. In its place are the pale substitutes that are the "Collector's Editions" which feature no Marvellous Marriage picture, no new eye cover, and most importantly of all, no notes in the back. Indeed, they are completely different and separate to the Rare Edition.

Didn't someone type up the RE notes someplace? If so, they should be copied to the Documents section, and if not I'd be willing to type them up, time permitting.

*thanks PJ*
Silly me, I forgot to look at the documents section to see if the notes were already someplace in there.

By the way, does anybody know what launguage is written in the last paragraph. If so, let's try to find somebody who can translate it.

By the way, does anybody know what launguage is written in the last paragraph. If so, let's try to find somebody who can translate it. It's French. It's been translated endless times. It's been discussed endless times. Do a search for "La Beatrice" and you'll probably find one of the old topics (which, by the way, you must not post in if they have not been posted in for over two months, or I will punish you).

*thanks PJ* Silly me, I forgot to look at the documents section to see if the notes were already someplace in there. Now all that time wasted typing those up has been payed off by that one thanks. I'd like more thanks, though. ;D Also, someone un-lazy should find the translation and get Trag to post it in my thread.
