I prefer to refer to the man who writes the books as Daniel Handler, to distinguish him from the character/narrator Lemony Snicket, who exists within the story.

I call him Snicket, in order to differentiate between the Series books, and the adult books which Handler writes (TB8 & WYM).

I mention both names, no matter what book(s) I'm talking about.

I mention both names, no matter what book(s) I'm talking about. Hmm, yeah. I usually say Daniel Handler for when I'm speaking factual (if ever) but the person doesn't know the books and everything, I'll just say LS, but I've grow 2 know him as LS.

I put God, but there are reasons. First, though, I'd like to say that I usually refer to the author as Mr. Snciket, or perhaps Lemony Snicket.
Reasons I put God... 1) Where I volunteer (at a museum), we have many people we "worship". The bigs ones are...
Jeff (the vengeful god of the museum) Jeff (a musician) Edward Gorey (Yes, the masterful Edward Gorey)
2) He should be called that, considering he can (to an extent) control what we think about the characters. Remember, it's all about perspective.

Lemony Snicket is such a cool name I choose it.

I call him Snicket. No Lemony, just Snicket.

I'd call him sir, if I were to meet him in person. Or Mr. Handler. Othwise, Daniel Handler. Snicket is more of a character to me now.

I'd call him sir, if I were to meet him in person. Or Mr. Handler. Othwise, Daniel Handler. Snicket is more of a character to me now. I see Snicket the author and Snicket in the books as the same person. And we knew it was a pen name to begin with, right? So I play along with everything, just because I like to play around. I do RPs with my friends, and we always say it's pretending for older peeps. So Mr. Handler is just the Official Representative. So, if I were to meet Lemony Snicket, I'd call him Mr. Snicket, or sir. But if I were to meet Daniel Handler, I could call him Mr. Handler or sir. Yeah.

Depending on how I feel, I'll call him different things. As said before, I call him Daniel and/or Handler in relation to TB8 and WYM and the Magnetic Fields matter, and some ASOUE topics. However, I usually use Lemony Snicket in relation to the books.

I refer to ASoUE as the "Lemony Snicket books" because Snicket is both the pseudonymous author and the narrator, and to distinguish them from TB8(which I love) and WYM(which I haven't read).

I don't have my own copy of TB8, since I got it out of the library, and had to return it a couple days ago.
