Ach.
Do you know anyone else who might be interested in typing up TB8 for me? It's not sold in Canada.

I refer to him as Lemony Snicket, even though it's just as pseudonym. Besides, I like the way Lemony Snicket sounds rather than Daniel Handler. Thats just too ordinary sounding.

I call him Lemony Snicket because when I started reading the books I didn't know that was a pen name (How stupid of me. ).

I call him Lemony Snicket because when I started reading the books I didn't know that was a pen name (How stupid of me. ). You wouldn't be the only one, although I always assumed that it was a false name. Can't remember how far I'd read until I found out...

When speaking to my mother, he's "The Little Snicket Lad". To fans, "Danny/Daniel Handler" or "Snicket". To people modestly aquainted with the books, "Snicket AKA Mr. Handler".
When speaking to people who haven't got a clue- "Lemony Snicket". Or "Mr. Handler" when I feel like confusing them. When they look at me oddly and say "Who?", I sigh exasperately and say "Lemony Snicket?" like they ought to know exactly who Daniel Handler is.

Personally, when I think of the author of these books I think of Lemony Snicket. I consider that 'Mr. Snicket' is a man who is an alter ego of Daniel Handler. Daniel, in my assumption stores away his own self and replaces it with a being who has seen everything, been everywhere, and done extraordinary things. He in my opinion, creates alternate realities to store away the grief and wonder he faces in his own life. Much like what we do, when we want to escape from the impossible. Thus presenting the statement he made up, "The World Is Quiet Here."

ha ha! That would be right! I'd call him sir, if I were to meet him in person. Or Mr. Handler. Othwise, Daniel Handler. Snicket is more of a character to me now. If I met him, I'ld bow down & kiss his feet. ;D

I call him Lemony Snicket. It's mainly because that's what it says under 'author'.

I usually refer to him as Lemony Snicket. But since that's a nom de plume and he is a character in the books, I call him Daniel Handler if I'm really talking about the author.
