I was just wondering about a few things concerning The Composer is Dead, Lemony Snicket's due-to-be-released book...
1. Will he keep his writing style from ASoUE? 2. Will Brett Helquist illustrate the book? 3. Will he still refer to himself in the book and use himself as an example throughout the story?
I was just really curious. If his writing style is different (radically), I might not buy the book. I just love his writing style. Post your concerns and question here, and share them with the other members.

There's a review of TCID here from someone who managed to acquire a perusal copy, which notes that it does keep some aspects of Snicket's style-- though possibly not "using himself as an example". As for the matter of illustrations, we don't know about that yet.

I have to send my persual copy back next week, but the review is there. The review is for The World is Quiet Here. It has been reported that Daniel Handler was waiting for his favorite illustrator for the book and that may be contributing to the delay. I've contacted H-C about a release date and they don't have one as yet.
(Dante and Antenora, should this thread be locked? My other thread had more information.)

(Dante and Antenora, should this thread be locked? My other thread had more information.) I think the questions here are more about the eventual book than the musical performance. As regards the musical performance, though, there's also an old thread on that here. As far as the book itself goes, there's very little that can be said about it; pretty much all the information thus far has been on the musical performance, and we don't know how similar or different that'll be to the book version.
