After slogging through about a million messages in the Official Beatrice Letters Discussion thread, (and being a basically lazy person), I thought it would be helpful to start a seperate thread focusing on our different interpretations of the anagrams hidden in TBL (The Beatrice Letters).
Ready? . . . Go!

You might want to edit your post so the subject line contains the word SPOILERS in it, per the spoiler rules.
So, on to the anagrams
BATICEER =Beatrice MY SILENCE KNOT = Lemony Snicket
If Olaf is writing obscene anagrams, what does A WET VIPER PERM rescramble into?

Some have suggested "pre-emptive war," which many would consider obscene.

I saw an excellent suggestion on that: PREEMPTIVE WAR.
This could be an "obscenity" suitable for Olaf, as a political statement.

THE LETTERS: Add/delete/correct these according to your research.
These are the punch-out letters: R K T B C N S E E I A A
These are the photograph letters: S I C T
These letters appear on the letters (such as in the margins): LS to BB 1: E (the map) BB to LS 1: E (right margin) LS to BB 2: AV or N ? (the mountain sketch) BB to LS 2: None? LS to BB 3: None? BB to LS 3: K (bottom reverse) LS to BB 4: R(?)(signature on note) or O (coffee stain) BB to LS 4: A (grade) LS to BB 5: None? BB to LS 5: None? LS to BB 6: A (bottom enlarged) BB to LS 6: B (signature)
These letters are encoded in the letters: LS to BB 3: F (Deaf instead of Dead) LS to BB 5: E (Missing from Denouement)* LS to BB 6: A (Misspelled Independent)* * from "Dear Diary"
Are there more encoded letters? I suspect they would only show up in LS letters to BB.

I had worked on which letters go with each side of the poster.
bat side: EICNRA shipwreck side: KETABS
Those could be: A NICER BASKET

Are the photo letters and the margin letters just repeats of the punch letters?

I am convinced that the punch out letters just repeat the letters found in the letters. This makes sense as I doubt that Lemony's manuscript to the editor included punch out letters.
This means that his editor was keen enough to see their significance. Could he (the editor) be a member of the organization?

I don't know about an R missing but you could look in the letters where R appears, like the one where it mentions her mother died, the one about the ring, the one Lemony sent by bats that was mistakenly sent to R...

Are there more encoded letters? I suspect they would only show up in LS letters to BB. I think there are two missing letters we should include: L and S. Reasons: 1) These are the letters that fail to appear at the end of Lemony's last note to the editor. They are emphasized by their abscence. 2) They are "punched out" on the cover page to that note. 3) One of the Beatrice notes says the "letters of your initials" were included in what she took. 4) A sonnet has 14 lines, but there are only 12 obvious letters. That said, I don't have a really great new anagram yet: L. SNICKET'S A BRAE doesn't give new information. There's also A CELEBRANT KISS and BLACKEN A SISTER and quite a few with SILENT or SILENCE: A BACKER'S SILENT BARKS AT SILENCE I'll also repeat here my two-phrase anagram: BRAE MAN + MY CO STAR = BERTRAM, A COSY MAN

(It's SO much easier to discuss points in separate threads than all in one!)
Yes, RockSunner, I totally agree. Here's another reason: In letter LS to BB #3, Lemony says, "Just one letter can change everything." I believe that phrase is repeated somewhere else, too.
We should try anagramming the main letters with the letters LS and/or the "mistake" letters (F, E and A).
(Somewhat off-topic:) The word "letter" has a double meaning in that phrase as well. Someone apparently failed to receive some important correspondence that would have changed everything if he/she HAD received it. (I think this could refer to the sonnet on page 12, the letter mistakenly delivered to R, or Beatrice 2's letters to Lemony.)
(Back on topic) I tried "Beatrice Sank" plus the letters L, S, F, E, A on an anagram server and got "A Baa Fleecer Stinks." Hey! Sheep on the island! A smelly person shearing sheep (shepherds in letter BB to LS #3)!
