My brother got me the Blank Book and I was just wondering if anyone writes in theirs?

I never write in either my copy of The Blank Book or The Notorious Notations - I'd rather keep them preserved and perfect, despite the fact that that's really not what they were meant for. I've probably only opened them once or twice. That said, I never really have the need to write things down on paper (and when I do, I already had a suitable notebook) - I just got them to have a complete collection, and because they look quite good.

Personally, I got them from online bookstores - I've never seen the blank books in the bookstores I've been to here in the U.K., and indeed I'm pretty sure that NNotations technically doesn't exist here (although I once saw The Blank Book and The Bad Beginning packaged together).

I don't write in mine either. I've had them both for a long time, actually, and only opened them once or twice. ("Them" here meaning both the British and American copies.)
They sell The Blank Book in all of the Borders and Waterstones and WHSmiths where I live, Dante... how very strange.

I've never felt compelled to buy either book. I wouldn't write in them and you don't read them like other books, so I never saw the point.
However, I have some B&N gift cards that I suppose I could use to buy them. Maybe.

I have NNotations, and I have written in it, though not on any pages with illustrations on them.

I completely agree with Gigi...they are just notebooks and not worth (to me, at least) the ten to fifteen dollars or whatever they cost...I'm just not a notebook person, I guess.

I haven't written in TBB or TNN, as of now. I was thinking about maybe writing in about the series (like some sort of file about ASOUE)...... And just gathering up all the clues, mysteries, etc.

I am going to buy these soon along with the Beatrice Letters so I can write down all clues, VFD meanings, etc. inside of it from the series.

I have the Blank Book and I use it to write down anything I feel is important from the ASOUE series, from Count Olaf's many disguises to VFD's previous/current headquarters. But I rarely use the stickers. I think I want to keep them at the back because they look nice.
