Okay, two things. Umm. it was said that you can only advertise at 100 posts at something. Firstly, would what I did with NaNoWriMo be counted as advertising (ie making a thread asking people if they are doing it). Secondly, can you advertise once every 100 posts you make, or is it just once ever?

don't worry about that, it's more for advertising your own forums or webpages. the rule really exists so that people become part of the community before spamming us with their links to their own sites, as long as it's not excessive then you should be fine advertising a few times, once you've contributed to our community. if you're really worried, post the links in your signature, that way we see it every time you post

Oh okay then =D I understand now Thanks you for your assistance
Oh, but there is another thing (I never run out of questions) My school has 667 Dark Avenue blocked, as it is a forum, is there any way that I can get around this to access it at school?
Cheers, From Charles

I'm not very savvy on the mechanics of it, but I understand you can use proxy websites to access anywhere you like - unless your school has those proxy sources also blocked.

Damnation... I have no clue what a proxy website is. Oh well, time for googling

Do you know which safety filter your school uses?

Um... I think that there may be a multitude, but the main one is "Blue coat Proxy".

Is it alright if I double post here. If not I'll modify later. Just a quick suggestion, but if we wished to get posting up for next years' Darkies, without creating a salsaload of spam, why couldn't we reinstate the 667er in such a way as it wasn't mindless abuse against people with whom the writer had personal issues? I mean, it would certainly get post counts up... right? right?

Don't worry about double posting if twenty-four hours have passed since your last post, Charlie.
As for your suggestion, do you mean to bring back the 667er as a regular periodical in anticipation of the Darkies? That would largely depend on volunteer interest, I imagine, but I certainly wouldn't oppose it. What did you have in mind?

Oh, to bring it back as a weekly/ monthly serial (I wasn't really around when it was, but I've heard stories). Like, get a few 667ers interested in putting forward something (we could have an advice column, current affairs, 667 fic column, Ship of the week, quote of the week, etc. All done by different 667ers and collaborated by the editor in chief). It just seemed like a good way to achieve the goal set forward in the "Million post" (Can't remember the name) thread. Take it or leave it.

I would suggest starting a thread in Chaotic Creativity. Post counts aside, a new 667er would help to track current events, Snicket works, and major projects.

It seems that certain threads (e.g. asoue.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tree&action=display&thread=31756 ) may have become infected with malware, probably through a banner ad. When I try to visit them, Chrome warns me "Content from img005.lazygirls.info, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page", and IE blocks "insecure content" in the vicinity of the banner ads.

Probably the best thing to do would be for someone with a ProBoards Support account to report it on their board. They have pretty high moderatorial traffic and shouldn't take too long in getting to it.
