Wow, this is a really old thread... We WERE supposed to be reading Abarat by Clive Barker, which I'm reading now, and it is an awesome book. I love the paintings in it more than the writing, I have to admit... But check this out. I found this out yesterday and was fascinated for a full five minutes. The title of the book reads the same upside-down, using this kind of script. Fascinating, no? Anyway, read Abarat. Very good book. John Mischief is the best!

i wish everyone had the resources to be able to do this properly
i'm currently reading the da vinci code...we were meant to try to read it in septemberish i htink this thread was... heh...oh well...

not really... it's inactive...
we tried and people just coupldn't get the books...
before m y remeniscing post then the lst post was in nnovember...and that was saying how old this thread was, the last before that being in september...
it's kinda sad...

I'd like to join this, too, if there's maybe a chance it could be started up again. Plus, the books mentioned are probably a little less in demand now than they were when they were first suggested.
