I think there is nothing wrong with Gothic-types. I mean it's however you want to express yourself... and that's how they express themselves. I wear a lot of black, and I shop at Hot Topic... but I wouldn't consider myself to be really "gothic".

I went to a disco/social the other night (it was really fun) and theer were a bunch of gophs there and a few emos. They were freaky, but one of the emos started break dancing and he was really good.
Anyway, the rest of the goths just sat at the back all night while we were all dancing and they just stared at you. freaky.......

the peeps who break dance and crap at the dances that i go to are ghetto. theyre awesome. i went to this really crappy dance today. 80s and 90s music except for the songs i requested and therer were hardly any people and allthe guys were really short and ugly and there were 3 times as many girls as boys b/c it was an all boys school so they didnt let guys into the dance unless they went to the school and NOBODY could dance b/c people from this one school (PDS or Princeton Day School) weren't there and this one girl whose really good at dancing and peeps from Pennington are just relalybad dancers cause they go o this freaky school called timberlane and ya. I wish i had danced w/ someone. I was the worst dance ive ever been to. we didnt even do the Chacha slide or the electric slide, just the cotton eye joe!!!!

At dances I tend to just stand around, but that's (a) because I can't dance and (b) I get exhausted really quick when I do. Once my friend and I sat on the bleachers for about an hour of the dance, as a sit-down protest because they wouldn't turn the lights off. At my senior prom, almost all they played was rap. It's not very good for dancing to (at least not for dancing with someone). This post, apparently, is me getting out all my complaints about various dances.

bring your own music. thats what we do. and our school dj's it, so we have the rule over music.
at the st. patricks dance, we had a who was wearing most green, and best dancer. my friend joey won it for break dancing. hahaha. he was so funny.

We bring in outside DJs, I don't think they'd play music that was brought in. Anyways, most people wouldn't like music I would bring it as would most likely be in Japanese (although there was a song that would have fit being that we were all seniors and so all leaving to go separate ways soon, plus it was the last song that band did at their last concert... the lyrics are at www.animelyrics.com/anime/wkreuz/lastinmywinds.htm). Knowing most people at my school, they probably requested all the stupid rap stuff.

I'm more of a Korean fan myself, but j'adore Pizzicato Five and my Japan For Sale Vol. 2 CDs. You should download The Night is Still Young by Pizzicato Five off of Kazaa. That's one of their best songs IMO.

We had an outsider dj at my dance. I didn't want to go home it was so fun. They played alot of the new songs that are on the charts, including some rap, but they also played some older stuff that has a good beat to it like ACDC and a few older tunes from the 80's or whenever. They actually weren't bad. I've always been against older music but some of it's not bad. When I was a bit younger (around grade 4-6) I used to love country music mainly because my mum did. Then I grew up, started hanging out with different people, so now I sort of only like music if it's made it to the charts or top 40. Anyway, the music at my dance was pretty cool compared to some of the stuff we were forced to dance to at my old primary school discos.
