They're great! There's lots of magic, epic battles, suspense, and there's a very awesome city. Not to mention a very powerful wizard and an underground city.

The real ending was sheer brilliance.
And the underground city... Gosh, it's been so long since I read it... Was that the ghost place?

Yeah, I deffinitly thought the real ending was way better, it wraps up more loose ends. and explains Sam's Vision in the mirrior.

i personally loved the start of the fellowship. not so much the part about the old forest, but bilbo's birthday and that? i loved it. you should read them because they are the best books in the world. and i'm not just saying that. you can read them over and over and not get bored. though i've actually read the trilogy all the way through once ;D

You should read them because he makes it real. You should read them becasue it's well thought out. You should read them because it stands out. You should read them because it makes you smarter. You should read them because the language is amazing You should read them because the culture of the characters are amazing. You should read them because I told you so. You should read them because you will die a sad, sad person if you don't.

I agree with Dae. And cause I told you so, and that should be enough. They are like 20 times longer than the ASOUE books but they are also fast-paced. And yes, you WILL die a sad, sad person if you dont.
