My apologies, then, Hermes, if I was insensitive.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to call you insensitive. Clearly you were trying to be as sensitive as possible.

Oh, I know that. But given the context of the conversation, I thought it best to be sure.

Nobody here is being insensitive. I make jokes about my age myself, so why shouldn't others? Anyway I'm not old old, just old compared with the norm on this forum. (And I certainly wouldn't expect a student to say LOL in an essay -there's a time and a place for everything.)

I don't say LOL as a part of my normal speech: on and off the forums.
I feel it's kind of ridiculous.

Hermes is always a hot topic, as are Dante and Sherry Ann. Dante, Sherry Ann and Hermes are the same person with multiple personality disorder. Remember?

Ah, yes. We should compile the evidence and submit the case to a jury.
By the way, I've just been struck by the number of similarities between the Snicketologists the Intellecteers. There are quite a few.

Well, Dante was one of the Intellecteers, wasn't he, so in a way we're a continuation of the same thing.

I have a headache now.
I mean saying "LOL" (the actual acronym or thus following pronunciation of: 'el o el' ) in place of or after laughing.
