I have a headache now. I mean saying "LOL" (the actual acronym or thus following pronunciation of: 'el o el' ) in place of or after laughing. People do that all the time in my school, even in circumstances when they normally wouldn't laugh. It's not considered weird, but annoying if it's done too much. Person 1: Damn it, I lost my homework. She's going to kill me now. Person 2: TROLOLOL. Person 3: LOL. Person 1: Shut up. And some people say "asdf", as in, instead of mumbling, they say "aye-es-dee-ef". That's considered weird. |

People use "LOL" out loud at my school, but I've never heard of asdf.

From urbandictionary because I'm too lazy to define it myself
1) Asdf can be used with qwertyuiop and ghjkl.
2) Asdf is what you say when you are angry.
3) Asdf is what you say when you have nothing to say.
1) qwertyuiopasdfghjkl
2) ASDF!!
3) ...asdf?

asdf are the first four letters on the middle line of a standard keyboard (or typewriter). You might type them when hitting the keyboard in anger, or when idly running your fingers over the keys because you have nothing to say. Or when pretending to do one of those things.

Honestly, I think a number of cyber-acronyms would fall into that category.
I took a typing class some years ago, which involved the instructor repeating the phrase "asdfjkl semi [colon]!" in blocks of forty-five minutes, so I've always been very aware of asdf as a typing permutation.
