Yes! It is bizarre enough to keep you entertained through without even knowing the deeper meaning, but then when I read the symbolism behind it it made me feel for the main more, and see the film as more than just overly indulgent shock value material.

just noticed for the first time the movies named on the first page of this thread, and now I’m tempted to make a list of every movie mentioned in here……. well, i'm ashamed to say i actually did it. letterboxd.com/julianblower/list/the-last-movie-you-watched-thread/no, i don't have a job, why do you ask? i think the most frequently mentioned movie might have been Pixar's UP. there was one person who watched National Treasure (2004) about ten times. the award for most-posts-in-this-thread-without-ever-actually-watching-movies has to go to mister m. i skipped the one post i made that had about 70 films in it. This is actually so cool (not sarcastic). It's also kinda nostalgic/emosh to see how the films on the first pages date and the graphic design of the covers compared to the (generally) newer movies 667ers are watching nowadays Have put a link to this in the first post.

most of these movies were new at the time, with 94 movies from 2009 alone. obama era 667ers got that regal unlimited theater pass……..

Beast (2022)
I watched it at the cinema, and I thought the movie was really cool. Especially the climax scene was unforgettable. I found the way to record the scenes very cool, and the CG very convincing. I liked Idris Elba's performance. It's not the best movie in the world, but I thought it was a movie to watch in the cinema instead of at home, because the movie experience was really good for me.

Poe's Coats Host Toast what's the skinny on Moonage Daydream? debating whether it'd be worth it to see in the kino. i was worried it would be ziggy-dominant (don't care about glam bowie)

Quite little about latter day Bowie, but his 80s era - my least favorite - is well-represented next to his glam days.
It's more of a visual essay with some interspersed great live performances. The rest is montages that mix different years of his career overlaid with a voiceover taken from different interviews with Bowie, sequenced into a kind of holistic look at what drove him as an artist. Intermittently interesting, though I've heard some of the best snippets before in his interviews. Some of his talk about his disconnect and trouble in relationships was new and quite interesting to me.
It's a "Bowie the myth and the man" thing to see on a big screen, and not a talking head documentary for the TV format. But probably little to nothing new in it for the Bowie nerd, though I am not quite that. Also a bit too long by some 15-20min (they repeated some space footage a few too many times, lol).
