Is Coach Genghis an anagram for Higgens? I know that Ghengis is an actual name and Snicket/Handler most likely took it from the Mongol emperor Genghis Kahn, but it just seemed like a coincedence that it has the same letters as Higgens and i thought Snicket/Handler would have noticed this and used it for the purpose of another little anagram "easter egg" that he would hide somewhere in the series.
But as the books went on, i never found anyone by the name of Higgens or another anagram for it or anything. Please tell me what you think or if you've found something.
*Sorry if this has already been discussed, but i didn't see it anywhere.

I think you're clutching at straws. Not only are there no individuals named "Higgens" in aSoUE, Wikipedia lists no important individuals named "Higgens" and it's a much less common spelling than "Higgins" anyway. I really, really don't see why you'd assume this to be of any significance. Lots of words or phrases are anagrams for something; it doesn't mean it's intended.

i looked on places like wikipedia as well, i just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something especially since most of the names the characters use for disguises are either anagrams or have some significance.

The significance in the names of Olaf's disguises are, however, in their literary or historical allusions; the anagrams are reserved for his henchmen, although you might expect it to be the other way around.

Interesting theory, but I don't think so. TAA has been out for a while, and people are usually figure those out pretty quickly. Even so, most of the anagrams work out Count Olaf, not 'Higgens'. Nice try, it's a pretty good theory, but I don't think so.

Yes, I agree with Col. ‘O Neil Warner on this one. It's kind of interesting that you came up with that, but I can't think of anyone of any importance by that name.
