I noticed something when I was making the banner in my signature: I'm sure someone has noticed this, right? If it's a coincidence, it's a pretty d**n big one. Obviously it was foreshadowing the second Beatrice.

This was noticed before, yes, and presumably does indeed foreshadow the existence of a second Beatrice in the story standing in the shadow of the first. What I can't remember is if it was noticed before or after the book was released... I think it was before. Previews and Handler himself had already given away the existence of a second Beatrice, so it was no surprise.

It was noticed shortly after the picture of the cover was first released, for the record.

Is that just me or can anyone else see a boat in the storm (with waves and stuff) here? For me it has always looked like that, and I thought someone had probably said that before, but then I talked about that to Mister M and he said he had never heard about that. It looks much clearer on my copy though than on his, also clearer than on this picture.

I'm not so sure; I think it's just the detailing on her costume. It could be a hint at a stormy sea, but it's rather ambiguous compared to the double-face clue.

I never noticed this! It's sort of a minor epiphany to me.

If you look sideways at the "boat" thing it looks like the silhouette of another face, maybe.

Yes, what I first thought of when I saw Anka's picture was also a man with a long nose.
That said, I don't think there's any intentionally hidden likeness of anything. The boat would make sense, but isn't all that clear to me even when I look for it, and the long-nosed man doesn't have any relevance to the book's contents. The smaller Beatrice, by contrast, makes perfect sense, as that is also the contents of the book: A smaller Beatrice.

I think the main reason why I ever looked at that was that I couldn't think of any reason why anyone should have such weird shaped clothes
