Bertrand looked at his watch, and saw that the scientist was right. “It’s a good thing you reminded me,” he said. “I’ve been so caught up in our conversation, that I didn’t realize how late it was getting.” “Esmé tends to get grouchy whenever Bertrand is late,” Geraldine explained to the others. Bertrand smiled sheepishly. “It’s true… though there’s no denying she does look awfully cute when she’s angry.” [Yup. I figured that once everyone is reunited in the park, then they can go onto the Taylor’s house to meet up with Beatrice and Lemony. Does that sound O.K., or did you have another idea?]

"I wonder what Violet and Klaus will say, when they meet you," Doc commented, as the group stepped outside. "The kids here do seem to be getting a little antsy. Well, I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of your friends."
OOC: That sounds fine with me. Once we get everyone at the park, we can probably put the RPG on hold, while we start on the other one.

“I’m sure we’ll all get along swimmingly,” said Geraldine, using an expression her father, a reporter, had taught her.
Bertrand rolled his eyes, but said nothing as the five companions exited the ice-cream parlor.
As they crossed the parking lot, Sunny surprised him by slipping her small hand into his.
[O.K., cool. The park seems like the perfect place to stop for now.]

"What are you doing, Sunny?" Doc asked, stunned. OCC: Cool!

Bertrand, however, didn’t seem to mind. Taking his other hand, he reached down and affectionately ruffled Sunny’s hair. “Sunny certainly seems quite taken by you, Bertrand,” Geraldine commented. “It’s as if she’s known you all her life.” “She has,” he agreed. “Or rather, the other me.” [I’m very glad you think so. ]

"Yeah, he has Daddy's eyes," commented Sunny. "I may be too young to remember Daddy, but I just... Well, Jerome just seems to me like a daddy."
"Well, I still wonder what in the name of Sir Isaac H Newton has happened," muttered Doc, shaking his head. "Come to think of it, how do we know that we're in your world - and not vice versa?"
OOC: Wouldn't it be strange if Beatrice had a crush on Klaus, decided to kiss him, and then insisted that kissing him was "like kissing her brother"?

Bertrand and Geraldine nodded thoughtfully. “That’s true,” Bertrand agreed. “Although, I don’t recall any events that would have caused my friends and me to end up in another world.” “Surely there’s a way for us to know for sure what’s happened,” Geraldine said, and looked hopefully at Dr. Brown. [Yes, it would! That made me laugh when I read it. ]

"Unless, somehow, my friend might be behind this," explained Doc, nervously. "Sabrina Palmer. She's a witch."
Meanwhile...
Sabrina Palmer smiled, as she stepped into the park. Suddenly, she saw a bunch of colourful crystals on a picnic table - and a young lady was sitting there. She clutched at her own bag of crystals, incense, and herbs - as she decided to join the young lady.
OOC: It probably won't happen, though - but it's funny to think of. BTW, do you any idea as to what Sabrina's spell should entail? I thought this might be a good now to switch over. Now, I think that'll be everyone - until the whole group heads over to Beatrice's home.

Madame Lulu had decided to take some time for herself, away from Caligari Carnival. She wasn’t concerned, though— before leaving the grounds, she had entrusted the help of her dear friend, Count Olaf. Having already owed her a favor to begin with, he had agreed to watch the carnival for a few days while she went away. Seeing no reason for hesitation, Lulu had taken the Count up on his offer immediately. At that moment, the fortune-teller looked up from her crystals to see a woman around her own age sit down at the table across from her. “Hello, please,” Lulu said, delighted with herself for remembering her disguise. [Yes, it is. It’s always fun to think about stuff like that. As for what Sabrina’s spell should involve, I was thinking maybe something in which she opened up portals to other dimensions and times. There’s a book series I enjoy called His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman that involves this sort of thing.]

"Hi," Sabrina replied, as she sat down. Picking up a turquoise blue crystal and a hot pink crystal, she commented, "These are so lovely. Do you want to see my crystal collection." Suddenly, remembering her manners, she added, "My name's Sabrina Palmer. Who are you?" OOC: That sounds good.

“I am most honored to make your acquaintance, please,” the fortune-teller replied. “And my name is Madame Lulu.” She paused. “You are collector of crystals as well?” [Yeah, it’s a great series. I’m currently on the third and final installment. ]

"Nice to meet you, Madame Lulu," greeted Sabrina, as she opened her bag of crystals. There was something about the name that sounded familiar, but she couldn't think of what it was. "I most certainly am a collector of crystals. I have them in every colour you can imagine."

“I am very interested to observe your collection, please,” Madame Lulu said.
As Sabrina brought out three crystals— one clear, one blue, one pink —the fortune-teller’s blue eyes widened in amazement.

"I can see that you really like my crystals," Sabrina replied, smiling. "Say, if you don't mind me asking... Well, do you collect crystals purely for their aesthetic value - or is it... something more?"

The question caused the fortune-teller to raise an eyebrow, and then she smiled kindly. “Though crystals are known for their beauty,” Lulu said, “many say that they possess otherworldly powers. And I myself am a strong believer in that, please.”
