I am really interested in this character. I found one strange thing. There weren't any books in the caravan in TCC, so we can understand that Hugo, Colette and Kevin doesn't like to read. But in TPP Kevin submitted few books as proof that Baudelaires are criminals. So he reads a little? Or he didn't even know which books he submitted?

I think it was probably more that whatever he submitted needed to have something to do with his ambidexterity, and especially if it was something he had to use both hands for. That pretty much calls for two of something, and the defeault something in the series is books. As to the caravan's lack of books, the freaks don't seem to be too well-provided-for, so it's possible they simply have no means of accessing books under normal circumstances.

I think he wrote few books about Baudelaires.

He only knew them for a week.

^That's a good point. Also, just because Lemony did't mention there was any books, that didn't mean they never read. He also didn't mention there was a toilet, but I'm sure they go to the bathroom.

I think they go to tiolet, too. But where was the tiolet?

It doesn't matter. It's a non-essential detail.

But where did Kevin get books?

Nearly anywhere. He bought them at a book shop, or found them in a guest's room, or picked them out of a trash can. It doesn't matter where he found them, and frankly it doesn't even matter what they are; it's just to facilitate him submitting something to the trial with both hands.

Yes, some things don't matter!
