Which character in ASoUE reminds you yourself? Which character is closer to you? Mine is Kevin. We are the same! We are very similar type of people. This is why I really love Kevin.

Uncle Monty, mostly. That's why I made him dyspraxic in my ficverse. And Aunt Josephine, too, what with her irrational fears and what not. EDIT: Also, Kevin reminds me of the "average dyspraxic teenager", so that's why he's dyspraxic

Of course, Kevin is very far from the nicest character but I love him!

That's probably why a lot of people here hate Kevin. Of the three freaks to join Count Olaf's troupe, Kevin seemed to be the most evil. I do feel for him, though - because he probably did contend with a lot of ridicule regarding his ambidexterity. It's not the fact that he is ambidextrous that I sympathize with, since it should actually be considered a gift - but it's the fact that many people seem to find it being worthy of ridicule. And, let's face it, Esme was probably the first "normal" person in a long time to treat him like a human being - so I can understand why he turned to the dark side. Of course, the Baudelaires were also "normal" - but he didn't know that, until after he had joined the troupe.

A lot of people hate me. And I know that I would join to the criminal troupe, if some from this troupe was nice to me. I can't judge Kevin. And he didn't turn to the dark side. He never was on the light side and neither Hugo or Colette. He is not a traitor! yes, he is evil but he didn't betray anyone. At least, he is only freak who wasn't rude with Sunny in TSS.

Well, you do make some good points. Especially when even the supposedly "light" side didn't seem to want the freaks. I know what's it's like to have people think badly of you, so I can sort of identify with the freaks. I tend to wonder what their childhoods were like.

I can't really think of any characters who I'm particularly like, so if I were to answer this question there'd be a risk of me just identifying which character I want to be. And that'd be more of a favourite character question. I suppose I can see myself in the role of some of the more rebellious islanders.

I definitely see myself in Isadora. I was, like her, in the habit of writing semi-scathing poems about my classmates when I was in school, only I opted for limericks instead of couplets. Plus, like her brother Duncan, she's highly inquisitive and curious, another quality I share which, like Isadora, can sometimes land me in hot water.

I don't write poems but I think that Isadora and me have something in common

If I had to choose someone, I'd be Klaus. Of course, I'm not half as smart as he is or read as many books but I do like reading a lot. If not him them maybe I'd be Duncan.
