Do you remember the name of village in TVV? V.F.D. I think Mrs Morrow and Mr Lesko went to the hotel because heard that all V.F.D. will must be there on Thursday. I think they confused the name of organization with the name of their village. I don't think they are volunteers, I think were just confused. What do you think?

That's actually a very good idea, colette. I had assumed they'd been summoned to the hotel either to give evidence to the trial by V.F.D., or to destroy their testimony by the villains, but a complete confusion of interests sounds not only possible but also exactly the sort of thing Handler would do, and it'd be a nice callback to the confusing multiple V.F.D.s of the mid-series.

I hardly think Mrs. Morrow and Mr. Lesko not being volunteers mattered. If they had either important information, might have had important information, had valuables, or might have had valuables, they're a target for the villains. Or if they just got in the way - just look at Foreman Firstein or Miss Tench.

Well they wouldn't have to hurt him for him to have motivation to get rid of them if they were in the way (if you look from the villains point of view).

I don't think Olaf would like to murder people who are clueless. And you know I suspect that villains were cooking crows for a party.

I don't think Olaf would like to murder people who are clueless. Olaf would certainly murder clueless people. He murdered Uncle Monty, nearly murdered Charles, attempted to murder the Baudelaires on numerous occasions, and threatened to (and no doubt would have) released the Medusoid Mycelium on the islanders. All these people you could consider (on various levels) "clueless." What gave you that suspicion? |
