I saw this today linked from Neil Gaiman's Twitter, and thought I would share it. It made me laugh out loud, that's for sure.

I'd heard Handler had supported the Wall Street Occupation, but never realized he'd taken further action. Thanks for this, nominatissima; Snicket and politics certainly makes an interesting combination.
This was particularly striking.

Indeed that was the most resonating one. It reminded me a little of the Voltaire song, Stakes and Torches.

Was just headed over here to see if anyone had posted this!
But yeah, witty and astute as always. I particularly liked #1, 2, 7, and 10

These were great! Thanks for posting them. I liked 3,5,7,10,13 best. The wisdom of Daniel Handler never ceases to amaze me.

I think I checked the same site yesterday after having heard Snicket had signed it. I must have just missed the addition of his thirteen observations. They're good ones, though, and exactly what I would expect from him.

It's always nice to get new Snicket material, be it on the books or just Snicket being his funny self ^^.

These are brilliant.
(Interesting he's written them as Snicket, by the way. I guess that way they will get more recognition - rather as Charles Dodgson used 'Lewis Carroll' for his logical work.)

The above seems most likely.....but since he wrote them as Snicket perhaps there is a coded message? A message to Lemony Fans? Or maybe I'm just being over-hopeful.

I think that would be stretching probability a bit. Snicket tends to keep his references to ASoUE very contained; they don't tend to bleed out into his other works much that I've seen.

Sigh.....I'll just stay hopeful-and wait for the new series!
