Rachel Maddow is going to interview Lemony Snicket sometime tonight. I think it may be within the next half hour. just in case anyone wants to check it out.
EDIT: It's on now

Any idea if it's on Google Video or some other online source? Can you remember what they talked about?

Is it somewhere online? Us Brits missed it because we were asleep in our beds- "when so many interesting things happen, after bedtime or because you are disguised as a dustpan in the broom closet of a mustard factory to fool the late night watcherwoman." (TSS)
Anyway it would be great to get some info about this interview- did he appear as Lemony Snicket or as his "representative" Daniel Handler?

Right here. The actual interview starts around four minutes, and topic of discussion is Occupy Wall Street. Edit: If it doesn't start loading after a minute, just refresh your browser.

I'm a little bit astonished that, unlike most US content, that isn't automatically blocked because of my non-American IP address. Guess I'd better watch it now in case they block it later. ...His personality seems a bit fey today.

It looks like that site is actually Canadian, so maybe it hasn't been tagged as U.S. material yet. I'm glad the "Snicket Explains Occupy Wall Street to Children" article is addressed in the interview; it puzzled me when I first read the headline, and wondered if the list was in fact written for children.

I just liked how Rachel Maddow said that she was "geeking out". It's interesting as to why he decided to write the 13 reasons.
Also, I realized that to anyone who didn't know, Daniel Handler could come off as gay. Not an insult or anything, just an observation. I realized this after he said "honey" then something about lattes in San Francisco (not because of this specifically, but just his general behavior). Again, not an insult, just an observation.

His personality is rather ironically effete in this interview, more so than in a lot of others I've seen. But he does tend to take on a rather camp persona when he shifts gears into what I think of as "irony mode," when he's blatantly joking. I think it's probably partly a mocking jab at what the right-wingers he's talking about might imagine a liberal of his stripe to be. He noticeably did it a lot this time around, though.
