Apparently a short poke around; he deleted his account already. Well, sorry I missed you, Eoghann!

Wow, I just got the email about the Anniversary. Spent a little time in nostalgia central! I had no idea about Snicket's new book, and hadn't even considered the fact 667 was ten years old! I joined in the first year of the site, I think! Wow. I think I could send in something for the "Where are they now?" But I'm not sure many people would even remember me. I was heavily involved in TPP and The End discussion, but never ventured into more of the social threads! Just wow. 667 formed a huge part of my early teenage years!

Wow, that was a real nostalgia trip when I got that email and started looking around here again. I think ASoUE was the second book series I really dug into as a preteen. How times have changed in the past 10 years! Wow, I just got the email about the Anniversary. Spent a little time in nostalgia central! I had no idea about Snicket's new book, and hadn't even considered the fact 667 was ten years old! I joined in the first year of the site, I think! Wow. I agree with everything in this post. I think I remember your name too, not certain, it's been quite a few years.

I also just checked my emails. I wasn't aware this site still existed. I wasn't aware there were new books. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading over some of my old posts and laughing at my theories.

In which section should I post the cover art contest? And how long should it last?

Oh! Thanks, FD! Better do my inquiring too. Where do you want me to post the weird ship contest, and when? Plus, how long should it last?

For all the people in charge of contests, the basic idea is post the contest early on Monday, let people enter through Friday, have judging on Saturday, and prizes/recognition on Sunday. If you think people will need more time, then you can start early or end late, but we figured those days would give the contests the most exposure. As for which section, probably FFiction for the WSW and AArt for the cover art contest, though now that I'm thinking about it we might want to make a temporary board to hold all of the contests and anniversary threads in.

Sorry for the double post. I looked over the beginning of this thread and saw that all the contests we thought of have someone volunteering to run them: 1. A reality show-esque or vernacularly fastened door game where the winner becomes the new admin. - Headed by Willis 2. New Skin designing contest - Headed by Cybermystery 3. Wildest Speculation contest/ATWQ Prediction contest - Headed by Sherry Ann 4. Weird Ships Week - Headed by Lemona Snicket 5. ASOUE cover design contest - Headed by F.D. 6. LSUA/ASOUE map contest - Headed by Cybermystery 7. Trivia contest - Headed by Hermes
Willis, Cybermystery, Sherry Ann, Lemona, F.D., and Hermes, I just want to make sure you have an idea for what you'll be doing and are still able to host your contests. Post in this thread if you can, and on Wednesday I'll PM everyone I haven't heard from.
There are two things I see that still need work: the theme days and the "What 667er are you?" Quiz. The theme days, so far, are: Day 1 - ASOUE character day Day 2 - Impersonate a 667er Day 3 - Favorite author day Day 4 - Day 5 - Come as yourself Day 6 - Day 7 - As you can see, there are 3 blank days. We also need someone who can post a theme day thread early EST time every day.
For the "Which 667er are you?" Quiz, it's not 100% necessary, so we can just drop it if no one volunteers, but it would be fun to have.

I'm still available to run the contest!
For the theme days, we could take advantage of the time zone differences. For example, GMT is five hours ahead (I think) of EST, so if a British 667er posted at noon that would still be 7:00 am for us. Also, another idea for a theme day might involve initials, in which everyone removes all parts of their screen name but the first letter.

I am certainly still ready to do the trivia contest. May I get back to you on details?

I could post theme days, if I was able to get to the school library every lunch time, which opens at 1pm. However, if there is someone better suited to it they can do so, but if nobody else can I'll assist.
