Haha, very true indeed.

I live in the US and am eligible to enter (and I did), but the thing I don't like is how long the contest is open. They aren't going to pick the winners until May.
I'm planning on just buying it anyway. If I win a copy, then bonus!

I'm not actually sure any more if I'll be able to get TCiD without importing, so I could really do with sweepstakes that I'm eligible to enter. Even if I did have to wait until May. Oh well.

Whoa, I thought it was March we had to wait for! May certainly is a long way's away...we should delete this thread, so nobody knows about the sweepstakes, thus bringing up our chances of winning.

Thanks, Gigi; that's a generous offer. If I have to import, though, there is probably much else I'd like that I can only import, so I'd take the opportunity of justifying the shipping costs.
On an entirely different note, is it me or is it the case that, once TCiD is out, we will be in a position where we honestly won't know what the next published book by Lemony Snicket will be? It's been a while since we've been in that position.

The Composer is Dead is out today! Celebrate with an AuthorTracker that's basically exactly the same as the one from a week ago! --- A message from Lemony Snicket --- March 2009 Dear Reader, We’re sorry to tell you that Lemony Snicket’s latest work, The Composer Is Dead, is now on sale. Many people prefer to avoid things that sound terrible, like pickle ice cream or a snake that has swallowed a harmonica. But perhaps the most terrible-sounding thing of all is this illustrated book by Mr. Snicket, which concerns a crime conducted at the orchestra, and which comes with a free CD of the entire event. Do you really want to hear more? With all due respect, Lemony Snicket Don't enter The Composer Is Dead sweepstakes. Learn more about The Composer Is Dead, listen to the author podcast, and watch what happened behind the scenes at www.LemonySnicket.com. --- And let's get this off the front page: --- Title: The Composer Is Dead (book & CD) Release Date: 3rd March 2009 ( Link.) Excellent, Gigi! I didn't think I'd get to see that.
Edit: That was even more insane than usual.

MAJEED! Can someone please write a fanfic about him in the world of Lemony Snicket?

Gigi or Dante, could you make a separate thread for the new video? I want to announcementize it.

Permit me to invite Gigi to do so. It was her discovery.

People seldom visit The Wistful Web, so I shall put a thread for the video clip there.

I got my copy of The Composer is Dead today. The thing that perhaps surprised me most is how big it is; it's A4-size. It also happens to be very funny. I'll listen to the CD sometime when I need to listen to a CD.
