Hai guys. (btw, this belongs in FF, because it's a suggestion. I will argue this. )
Okay. After catching wind of Lemony Snicket's prequel series, I immediately fled to 667 and, lo and behold, as I figured, there were already mounting theories, discussions, suspicions, presentations of evidence, etc. And then after perusing through this grand old place, I took a look this evening at Amanda's profile, and went back to the 677's History thread, which led me to the old wiki, which led me to forty thousand other nostalgic-filled goodies.
And the sad part, I realized, is that I was here for only a fraction of it: I was here for ADR, for the 667er, for the 667 Ball in either 2005 or 2006. Speaking of which, my parents got divorced in late 2005, and I remember this site noticeably helped my little mind cope with what that meant and what that was going to do to me for the rest of my life, so thank you, really. I was here for members that I'm sad to see haven't posted in a long time (well, I haven't either, but I do creep semi-often).
So, with that in mind, here is my suggestion that, conveniently, correlates well with the 10th Anniversary thread below in the Feedback board as well.
I suggest that Lemony Snicket's new ASoUE prequel series, All the Wrong Questions, and our 10th anniversary's being in the same year is no coincidence. It's no coincidence that several discussions have been held recalling the "golden age" of this site and its popularity. We all joined this site in some form or another because we were attracted to its core: Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. And in some form or another, we love it.
If we could return to that sort of "innocence" and "freshness," per say, that attracted us to this gray and black board in the first place, and if we could devote absolutely every effort possible -- through IM, through MySpace, through Facebook and Pinterest and Twitter, through telephone and email and carrier pigeon -- to getting old members to log back in for a spell, and if we devoted ourselves to reliving, re-imagining, recreating those priceless pieces of memory that make up the heart and soul of this forum, I suggest that this could be a treat for us all while we usher in an entirely new but familiar era of discussion and enjoyment of Lemony Snicket.
Agree? Disagree? bsam?
