The attache case itself looks freaking amazing. From the content the most interesting item seems to be the "All the right answers to all the wrong questions" booklet (aside from Chapter 2 from the novel). Then there's the new information of an "Ink Inc." (love that pun) firm, which seems to be pretty evil: "There's nothing darker" is its slogan, and that evil-eyed octopus its logo. Also the octopus curiously has only six limbs as opposed to eight, like a real octopus would have, making the company's image and intentions even more dubious--it's not what it seems to be! And then the lighthouse seems to be the main attraction or the 'trademark' of Stain'd-By-The-Sea.

Alright I currently have a bid of $19.99. I don't think we have much to worry about though. It's not likely that anyone are as huge fans of the series as us 667ers are and I don't think that we'll have many people fighting for it

Is it a complete calender? Might there be other clues to be gleaned from it? Good luck Cybermystery!
Stain'd by the Sea, would also fit with the whole ink idea, a town based around ink production. Wow. This also fits the description of a "fading town" both metaphorically and literally, if the town is running out of ink, and business is slowing.

I'm not familiar with eBay's infrastructure, but it looks as though someone has already bid $20.49.

Oh, there's now four bids, and the current bid is $25. Good luck, Cybermystery, but if it does get to ridiculous prices, don't feel like you have to buy it.

My max bid is up to $26.00.... I hate when people bid so high.

6 bids, at $29.00 now. Oh, well! Perhaps more images will seep out anyway.

Oh well!
A good technique my father taught me was to wait until the last few seconds, when the rival bidder thinks they've got it, then play your final card with the highest bid.

I was wondering about that. Wouldn't it be wisest to wait until the bidding had almost closed, then place a bid to keep the price low as possible? Again, though, I'm not sure if eBay has a policy against this since it seems as though it would result in loss of profit for the seller.

I'm not sure. I know a few people who have done it multiple times, but it usually only works on items with two main bidders.

Max bid is $34.00, current is $31.
It's making me angry because it seems like this person hasn't bid on anything in a while, then decides to bid now. They have a right to bid, but still its frustrating.

My advice would be not to show your hand until later, unless this guy suddenly starts to pump up the price for no reason.

I didn't think I'd be bidding on the case, but upon reflection, I might. I have plenty of discretionary cash right now (graduation gift, plus possibly more coming for paid research work) and wouldn't mind spending it on this. However, I'll take Brunch's advice and wait until closer to the closing time.
Edit: But only if Cybermystery, or whoever else on 667 is bidding, decides that the price has become too high for them.

The auction ends today, and the price is now at $33.00. Cybermystery, are you still going to buy this? I would like to know before 2 PM Pacific time ( converter in case you need it ), because the auction ends less than two hours after that.
