Does anyone know of a direct way to contact Daniel Handler? I searched around google, but I only found generic emails and addresses for the publishers. I was hoping someone on here could help me with a quicker and and more stable way of sending him a letter.
Thank you!

Daniel Handler, like the reclusive author he represents, keeps his precise whereabouts under constant skepticism. That said, anyone privileged with such information is unlikely to share it on a public forum where it may be accessed by friends and foes alike. Recently, the new publishers have provided a second outlet for contacting Snicket:
Lemony Snicket Little, Brown Books for Young Readers 237 Park Avenue New York, NY 10017
I plan on sending a letter to this address myself sometime soon. Perhaps you could try the same?

Yes, sounds good! I wanted a really up-to-date address, so this looks like it will work.

I'm pretty sure that's the address that people have had luck with before, so it's probably your best bet. Probably all of his mail is filtered through a personal assistant, but we know that interesting stuff gets through.

Invisible That's exactly what always made me hesitant about writing to Daniel Handler (or writing any "fan mail" to anyone). I wouldn't know what to say... at least not anything he didn't already hear/read hundreds of times before from fans, making my letter pretty superfluous and pointless. Although maybe someday I'll have a real kind of question to him or actually something to say, who knows. Then I'll write to him for sure.

I've considered writing to Handler before, to that address, but like TerryCraig I'm unsure what to say. I guess one day I'll wake up and just think "Today's the day!"

I think you're thinking of HarperCollin's address; the Little Brown one is fairly new, and I'm not sure there are instances of people being successful with it yet. This is something of an experiment.
