-One of the people working on my boat project had blue hands, from the spray paint he used. -He said he tried nail polish remover, but it wouldn't get the paint off. -Last night I stayed up rereading Catcher in the Rye until my parents got home, and fell asleep almost immediately afterwards. -I should finish going over it at the bus stop, or before school starts, or sometime before lit class. -I still feel half-asleep. -The cats keep climbing up on my chair and messing up my typing, although they're both out of the way now. -I hear one of them meowing loudly. -I opened a new window and was about to look something up, but I can't remember what it was now. -Oh, I remember. -There were actually several things I've been meaning to look up, several sites I was meaning to check.

-Sometimes I lean on my hands so hard that the skin on them goes extremely blotchy. -There's quite a contrast between weirdly-shaped dark red blotches and the paleness of the rest of my skin. -Anyway, I'm home. -It still takes me too long to go through 667. -I had a headache this morning, and felt like I was getting a cold. -I spent most of the first hour of Maths feeling awful. -The headteacher's second two hours were pretty hectic, though. -Everyone expected him to be rather... "Straight-laced" was the term he used, but he wasn't at all. -However, he's clearly sensible. -The exercises we had to do in class, and the homework he gave us, weren't just pages and pages of repetitive exercises. -Well, they were all pretty similar, but there weren't mountains of them. -In my previous years, we've always had to do loads of them, but he didn't give us much. -He did warn, though, that the "penalty" for having him as one of our Maths teachers was that we'd occasionally have to do extra lessons with him at lunchtime if he was away and couldn't teach our lesson. -But we only have him for two hours every Friday. -And Mother got me some great notebooks for me to work in. -In Government, then we accidentally got into a small discussion about cloning. -Or rather, two or three people at my end of the table did, while everyone else fell silent. -They'd just been muttering about it while the teacher had been talking about something else. -Anyway, I probably am getting a cold. -I expect it will develop over the weekend. -Which will make my extremely low level of participation on the team-building day, which I predict will be truly despicable, justifiable. -The following day, though, we're spending at least three hours in school - I believe more - listening to a lengthy induction assembly by some fellow who works for something-or-other. -I expect to be bored out of my mind. -I can probably sneak a book in, but I'd never get away with reading it. -Too many teachers around, looking, and it wouldn't exactly be hard to spot. -I've read Watch Your Mouth, and I've read a little of Interesting Times at school. -I'm glad it's the weekend. -There just isn't enough time in the five week-days.

-I sneak books into assemblies all the time. -Or rather, I sneak all my stuff in. -We always take all of our things to assemblies. -If the assembly gets boring, I usually read, or draw, or do homework for other classes. -And I don't think I've ever gotten caught. -There was a little kitten at the bus stop this morning. -Someone put it in her backpack, briefly. -It was weird--I heard her backpack meowing and wondered what on earth was going on. -I'm not sure what happened, but I think someone else took the kitten home. -The writing assignment in lit class wasn't that hard. -However, I feel that I didn't write enough for it. -That's always the case with me and essays, really. -The essay was about Catcher in the Rye, and how it makes the reader feel both pleasure and disquietude. -I talked about Salinger's tone and the contrast between innocence and experience, and possibly something else I now can't remember.

-I rarely hang out at Rue-des-Random-Factes nowadays. -And now I'm just doing a bit of mercenary advertising. -The penultimate chapter of Noble Uniforms is finito!

-My time's mostly taken up with other things these days, too. -Blast, this isn't a good time at all for my wrist to start playing up. -I'll have to make this a short post. -I would love to be able to read books, do homework etc. in assembly without being caught. -They consistently, with the exception of the beginning- and end-of-year assemblies, revolve completely around various fellows coming in and telling us some parable or other. -Many of which we'd already heard in previous years. -I just started wondering how many people who live on my road attend my school. -I only know of three, and I think that's it. -There could be other children in lower years, though - or people farther up the road. -I've been reading Interesting Times. -I quite like it. -What's next on the list after this? -Maskerade - I looked at it, and I think it sounded good - Feet of Clay, which has a golem in it and so must be good, and then Hogfather, which has Death in it and so cannot be bad. -Yes, the next lot all sound pretty good. -I expect I shall eventually have to start actually purchasing the next ones in the series. -Gasps! -Fortunately, my father owns all but some of the most recent. -I had suspected otherwise, and it still surprises me that he has no gaps in his collection yet. -Although they're all on his bookcase out of order... -I may have to ask him if I can rearrange them in the order they were written. -Just because it feels right.

-Our assemblies are so tedious. -We had a Back To School one today and all the Year Tens sat on chairs apart from the last two forms - Y and C, and I happen to be in Y. -We had to sit on some cushiony thing instead and we were all falling backwards, so I had to hold on to the blazer of the boy sat in front of me briefly. -I had a pretty good day though. -I'll do my LiveJournal in a minute.

-I woke up, and have a cold -I could feel it coming for the past few days -I feel like death, and look like it as well -My nose is runny, I have a sinus headache, and I feel horrid in general -I'm home alone... my mom is gone for the weekend and my dad is working and so is my brother -Dad offered to let me come with him, but I declined because how I feel -J. (brother) tried to put new memory in my computer and somehow screwed it up, and I now have a fraction of the ram I used to have, which sucks hardcore -As a result, my computer is annoyingly slow -I'm tired -I have soccer pictures tommorow, and a soccer game, and maybe going over pooties, then to a youth rally -Busy day tommorow -I had a science test today, I'm not sure how I did, because I forgot my notes at school -*sigh*

-Hogfather is certainly one of my favorite Discworld books. -I like all the ones in which Death has a big part. -Interesting Times is great, too. -The Quantum Weather Butterfly is really cool. -It has Mandelbrot fractal patterns on its wings. -A talking ad turned up in the Entertainment Weekly magazine, and my sister's taking it apart to see how it works. -The ad is made like one of those Christmas cards that plays music when you open it, only it talks. -It's for a show called "My Name is Earl". -I can hear the talking ad now. -I have a bunch of singing Christmas cards someplace, and possibly some that talk.

-I have been looking at old artwork in AA. -I found some that were really good. -I found this. -God, I laughed really hard at that. -I remember seeing that when I was a lurker. -I forget about that picture. -So obviously that was funny again when I saw it again. -The pictures that whoever this "Luigi" made in Migrosoft paint are hilarious. -Who is Luigi? -Anyway, I made a picture last night too, on Microsoft paint. -No one is looking at it. - -Could people look at it and critque it, please? -I would be happy if you did. -And if you posted in the thread. -I'll say yippy! -Please? -Bye, for now.

I did something different tonight. It didn't suck. Sitting down dance parties are fun. And also the party car rocks this year.

-I've started reading Maskerade. -I like it, so far. -I think the books with the witches are among my favourites. -I've had some of those talking cards. -And, years ago, I had this big three-in-one hardcover Goosebumps book that played a weird tune when you opened it. -And I had another one of those with a skeleton on the cover, and pressing a button made the eyes flash... -I don't have much to do these days. -I'm quite happy to spend most of my day just reading Discworld books. -I don't really have much to say these days. -It was really misty yesterday morning. -I think it was raining on my way home, though. -Wait, no, it wasn't, but there were some annoying kids calling out my name as I walked home. -I just ignored them. -There would have been nothing to be gained by responding, no matter how much I'd like to crush them like ants. -It was raining really heavily earlier today. -It seems to have gotten weaker now, though. -I just had a breakfast bar for breakfast. -If only my parents would let me have those for breakfast and lunch. -That would save me a lot of time. -Oh well. -Can't be helped, I supp - where's my bookmark gone? -Last seen... On the arm of my sofa, in my room, where I left it. -I'd best go get that now. -If I don't, I'll only forget about it.

-I'm going to visit my grandfather for his birthday today. -Yesterday, it was cool and cloudy all day, and I hope the weather's like that today. -Last night, I didn't sleep all that well. -I woke up several times and ended up sleeping somewhat later than usual. -I vaguely remember owning some book that played music when you opened the cover. -And several books with flashing lights on the cover. -My throat is really sore. -Mother bought some triple chocolate bundt cakes yesterday, and said I could have part of one for breakfast if I really wanted to. -I think maybe I will. -I have to empty the dishwasher.

-I've spent most of this morning reading Maskerade. -I really like it. -It's mostly a parody of opera, and The Phantom of same. -Although I confess I've never read/seen the book/films. -I've been very busy reading other things. -I had an unusual lunch. -I had a slice of left-over pizza from yesterday's dinner (because it was some of the best pizza I've had for a while), some herb bread (I didn't particularly like the herb, although the bread was alright) and then some slices of orange pepper and a few stuffed olives. -Hm. That's odd. -My parents were going to give me a slice of cheese with it, but I didn't get one. -Maybe I'll ask for one anyway. -I do like cheese. -How much of Maskerade have I got left? -About a hundred pages. -Good. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends. -I'm no longer wearing a plaster over the scrape I got a few days ago, but it still looks fairly noticeable. -I don't get scrapes or cuts very often. -Mainly because I don't do things very often.

-I hope you get well soon, Snicketface. -My mother might be getting a cold. -I felt like I had a cold when I got up, but I feel a bit better now. -I just ate half a bundt cake and had some coffee. -I always make strong coffee and add milk. -I've been rushing around trying to get things done, but things are done now. -It's nice and quiet here. -My parents may be getting up soon, though. - I want to see the movie made from this query letter.-Well, maybe. -I love that Query Letters site. -I understand that the creator of the site died in a car crash a while ago, but someone else has taken over and continues to update it.
